it is dead means it is smelling like anything burnt out i have taken it to the it expert but he said you have to buy new one it is dead

if its burnt, you can replace the green card on top of it. It will work fine. contact another guy

ur coins stored in the blockchain
the network know where the coins belong too

but u can lose ur key to legitimate u as owner of this coins (wallet.dat)
everyone with minimum ahead thinking have backup from all his wallet.dat at a save location
ideal multiple backups
