2. Move your files from wallet folder to other folder.
3. Now open client and when it's asked for seed, enter your seed.

You are looking at debug -> blocks right?
The blocks on the main screen are the ones you generated so it's normal if there are none.
Then it's better to rename "blocks" tab from main menu to something like "generated by you blocks" cause it's not obvious what's it for.
