Now that is a superb question.
I have not opened my Quark wallet for some time for a number of reasons which are not important.
However, when I did so, it would not sync. I fixed that by searching via Google for some recent addnodes to add to my conf file. Why the older ones from just September last year did not work is anybody's guess, but it surprised me. Anybody less capable than me would have been stuck.
Next of course was the fact that being so out of date, a recent blockchain snapshot (bootstrap.dat or whatever) would have been nice. The only link for that was a torrent that was not available to me until I registered on the Quark forum. I did that hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours ago, but have not yet been authorized to download even that torrent file.
I cannot yet even post to the forum because ... well you tell me.
Meantime my wallet is syncing the old fashioned way. In a couple of days it might get there.
Not good enough guys
Crucial resources should not only be open to registered and approved forum members. What are you thinking
It only took 5 weeks for the seednodes to be updated after the servers were destroyed? Thats a long time before anyone (Max or Quark Forum Dev/participants) noticed...I did forward the below email (dated 4/22!) to Max regarding the overdue account (initially started with Quark Foundation funds)- but there was no reply because it is OBVIOUSLY not being monitored...
