Concerning FPGA's Will it be ridiculously expensive to use?  I'm understanding that you need an ASIC for each algo (16 different ASICs) and then the FPGA to control them.  Only one ASIC would be used at a time wasting 15 other ASICs.

Hopefully nobody's stupid enough to try such thing. I don't even need to mention that using them separately would be more profitable and even if someone does it, devs will just make a modification on the algo and ruin his whole setup so It won't be an issue as far as I see.
you guys are wrong   you need 2 fpga as only  geting 500mh   .fpga are alot more flexable than asic. take this new asic fpga/asic machine it can mine 10 difrent algos  . http://pascalproject.com/features.html  to bed  this stuff will kill gpu mineing  .

haha, trying to scare ravencoiners with your magic Bricks wont work on this thread , go pedal asic snake oil on another project

It sound like a great product but currently nothing more then a concept. But even if they really deliver a product doing what is advertised it doesn't seem to be a threat to RVN to me. They explain you need te reconfigure the device and reboot to change the. In the case of X16R with its changibg algo every minute you are rebooting the device all the time.

They throw this coin in market to face every kind of situation both worse and appreciated moments. Once it will have seen these difficulties whatever gain will be in its value will last more in my opinion. That is the reason it looks better and holds the price at above $0.03 easily without big efforts. They need long term holders and they will be people with strong nerves not speculators.

I see myself as a strong hodler but when/if this coin hits a big exchange like binance and the price sky rockets im selling them asap!

That's not what a strong holder is though! Roll Eyes

Lol no you are right. But who wouldnt sell off if the coin goes x10 or x20? Judging by the max supply that would be the highest prices atainable in my opinion. We will just have to wait and see i guess.

Ravencoin is a great project and hopefully it will hit larger exchanges!

I didn't see anything on that webside... only some values and pictures. And they talk about "ASICs". I know that "project" for a long time, but only "oh we can Mine 500 MH here and 10000 Sols there" numbers were released - nothing else. Just another Typo3 webside... Everytime when somebody writes "FPGA/ASIC" it is clear he knows nothing  Tongue - Please be careful within all that promises!

Anybody knows why the circulating supply on CoinMarketCap is not updating? We're closing in 1.1 billion but CMC is stuck on 1,029,200,182 the pass 2 weeks.

Maybe there is issue with API which is not responding well but this will get fixed soon and this is not big issue. When API will start interacting with block explorer than it will updated to accurate as current supply.

People need to start promoting the coin and platform behind it, but problem is that most of the current community are expecting somebody else to do it and just go for dividends..

3x MSI AMD RX580 Armor 8GB OC

GPU 0 is not performing. I don't understand, all 3 GPU connected to same PSU Coolermaster 850w Gold, total system only draws 462W from wall. Windows 10 64bit, latest AMD drivers Adrenalin Edition 18.4.1

after a restart the first 30 seconds all GPUs perform the same then GPU 0 slowly drops hashpower

Update: tried Avermore 1.4.0 miner, same problem

Update2: after complete restart of system, it gets even more weird:

GPU 0:  72.0C 1129RPM | 5.625M/5.666Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:8.768/m I:19

GPU 2 is now dropping hashpower  Huh GPU 0 (and GPU 1) doing fine

Could it be something with Motherboard BIOS ? I used 3 1080TI GPUs in the past on the mobo wothout problems, maybe these "new" card give some trouble in combination with mobo? Asrock 970 extreme 4

got same problem and it should be related to OC, so lower your OC and find the right settings for mining.

I solved it, one pci-e was at x4 while the other two were at x8, switched from x4 pci-e to another x8 pci-e and everything is running fine now

Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure how this explains the fact that first GPU 0 had lower hashpower and later GPU 2 was dropping hashpower?

It is weird indeed, my guess is that is a combination Asrock 970 Extreme4 with the (MSI) AMD RX580 GPU when all used pci-e port are not same speed/multiplier the system or OS or miner does not provide enough power or memory to all ports and then one is left behind. The Asock is rather old mobo last bios update is from 2016.

--- ChainWorks Industries ---
I've been mining Raven for the past month but this week has been much less profitable.  I'm mining using Nevermore and am using Pickaxe Pro as the pool.  Did something happen to cause profits to drop 30% this week?
Profits as in coins per day or dollar per day? The price went down a bit with added difficulty or rather difficulty swings this could add up to 30% less dollar per day.

Yeah it does depend on how you measure 'profit'.

I find it interesting how many people say that mining x coin has been 'less profitable', even though they aren't selling anything they mine. I like to think of it more in terms of mining difficulty and coins received, and consider how I think the price per coin will look over the mid term.

This is how we at CWI work ...

I have preached this to no end, and no one listens, so stay strong in the mentality you have, and that direction. You will find as the others fall off and most lose out, you will stay strong and grow well in the CryptoIndustry, as we have, simply basing your way of thinking on this principle and the work that follows this principle.

Is this a Bitcoin fork? If so when did it fork off?

Yes, Raven is a Bitcoin fork.  January 3rd of this year was the genesis block I think...it was somewhere around then.
