Raven is trying to find the bottom in current scenario from my point of view current correction is looking much healthy and it will stay above 600 sats. If it will get succeed to catch the attention of new investors than it will make amazing comeback.

i mined this Raven some time ago , saw on coinmarketcap that it is maybe time to check my Ravenwallet again

If you made mind to sell this coin than its almost 50% down in sats after April but for long term this is good asset to keep hodl. I'm very bullish on this coin it has big potential and with strong support from the community future will be really bright.

It's better to hold it back first, don't rush to sell even though the price has gone down. Should seek other alternatives to generate profit while waiting ravencoin tracknya back on track.

I keep trying to load my Ravencoin wallet on Windows 10 and ever time it synchronizes to 483 blocks left it throws up a an "Error reading from database, shutting down" dialog box then as it said, shuts down.

I know this is a noob question but what should I do?

Greetings, your blockchain is corrupted. This happens if your computer shuts down unexpectedly. Unfortunately the only way to fix it is to delete the blockchain and chainstate. There is a console command that will re-download the blockchain. However, it may be easier to enter %appdata% in the search toolbar and open the Raven folder. Your wallet.dat is very important. You should always COPY this to a safe location. The peers.dat contain the ip addresses and ports of active Raven coin wallets. Everything besides these files can be deleted.

You may also copy everything in the folder to a different folder just to be safe while attempting to fix your wallet.

After deleting everything besides wallet.dat, peers.dat, simply start your wallet again. Unfortunately, you will need to allow the entire blockchain to re-download.

If your wallet gives the same error, it is your wallet.dat, and you will need to open cmd.exe as administrator, drag and drop the qt wallet for Raven coin and enter the recovery command (a space followed by '-salvagewallet'). Also, the command line to re-download the blockchain is "-reindex-chainstate". I got this information from this link: https://github.com/RavenProject/Ravencoin/issues/527 posted by @nastasache, thanks for that. "shitting down!"  Cheesy

Good luck, let me know if it works.

P.S. I really like this wallet so far, it is the first one to actually be smart enough to use port 80 or 443.  Grin

I think you have to ask on Discord helpdesk channel ( https://discordapp.com/channels/429127343165145089/429134613231697920 ).
I am using Win 10 Raven code 2.2.2 wallet version, 64bit without this issue.
Or maybe this helps: https://github.com/RavenProject/Ravencoin/issues/527

After this recent spike of in Raven it looks like best chance was yesterday to buy from this falling trend. Bitcoin apparently seems in try to find new floor to stabilize which will trigger altcoins rally as usually happens. I also was waiting to buy under 500 satoshi but that order may never be filled again at least in this bull run.

Can someone point me to directions for making IPFS link go right to a website.  I want to create an asset and in the asset explorer when you click "click to view" it goes to a web site.

Just like this asset does https://ravencoin.asset-explorer.net/   asset name: "GETTING_STARTED/RVN"

Upload an index.html file with meta refresh.

the ipfs.org upload will only let you upload pics.  Same with Ravencoin and mangofarms web sites.  I downloaded and setup go-ipfs, started the daemon and uploaded the html through the web UI and using command line.  Both returned a hash.  I can only access the file through my local gateway on one browser (brave browser).  Opera, IE and Iron won't load through the local or any other gateway.  I am able to load other ipfs links from the ravencoin asset explorer in any browser so I know it is not a browser issue.

can anyone see this?   https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmfQ5XSZaTw2hzm8GWFcRApW76kwcWfS5UBzcNhxNFyuHr  a .pdf that I am testing...

Yeap, I see this. "Get your free crypto...". Looks ok.

If you see this: https://gateway.ipfs.io/ipfs/QmZgparas5NPUvpPFGxBegRA4m9RFwBnpnk6ytKKLXEkax/ it's an index.html file.

I don't think it's a browser issue, maybe an ipfs pin/cache issue.

Tried to use 'ipfs add' command to upload html file and not worked? What's the returned Qm?

That one was uploaded using ipfs gateway.  But I have trouble seeing it unless I use the short url they proide...

This one:  https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmSb1D4XsFa8A2jNGvihBBUKmtEcfJ3DBPRNLNnGcadePS

I uploaded with the ipfs  webui.  it is a html rediredt to the same address you see in the pdf...

 QmRB7Usv9D77aBWnRdAMsWnPhXmjQiXPmGCd9gSqvjd8Qz this one with the CL ipfs add "file"

if you can see that then I know it is on my side...

next I need to read up on how to putty to my Rass PI and upload using the ravenland OS. ipfs node...

Your link loads fine for me so I think I will look into the pin/cache issue you mentioned.

On Rass PI (ravenland OS):

$ su ipfs
$ cd ~
$ mkdir tests
$ cd tests
$ mcedit index.html

$ ipfs add index.html
added QmVLN9SMfTEtBjzbJ3vAXQdyGqQ9H31RGNW9s2oGkoStja index.html

https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmVLN9SMfTEtBjzbJ3vAXQdyGqQ9H31RGNW9s2oGkoStja

That works great, so it must be some cache issue on my end.

The syntax for the RPi is almost the same as for Win CL so that part is easy.  I have taken the monitor, keyboard and mouse off of my RPi so I want to Putty over to it, transfer the file and then execute the upload from the ipfs node there.  I know it is all pretty simple and you just gave me a head start.  My biggest issue is 3 kids, wife, job and computers are only a hobby now and not my main source of income.  This leaves almost no time to read up and fail for a few hours while I am trying to re-learn the Linux that I haven't used in 12+ years...

Thanks for your time and check out what they are doing over at freefaucet.io.  I have made a couple of RVN geofaucets...

It looking hard for RVN to find a stable floor still big pressure on weak hands who don't want to miss the rally of Bitcoin. It seems my orders will get filled soon under 500 sat as like it going down.
