Asset activation is the reason for being for Ravencoin to exist in the first place. RVN is trying to replace ERC-20 tokens from Etherium first. Next it is going to try and replace the real world IPO market by replacing them with STOs (security token offerings). Finally, it will try and replace actual stock and commodities exchanges by having a faster and more reliable way to transfer assets between buyer and seller.

Asset activation means anyone will be free to create own assets like tokens both utility and/or security on the top of Ravencoin protocol. That is big thing being on the code of Bitcoin since RVN is using same parameters. You will be required to upgrade client but it isn't obligatory to create assets too. If you don't need just hold your coins for increase but having latest client is always recommended.

You mine RVN to support the network because you actually believe in the project. Short term financial loss on electricity and profit in other coins for long term gain in restructuring the inner workings of Wall Street and how people raise capital for real world business development.

No small time hobbiest actually makes the most money mining.  The purely financially best move would be to buy the coins, not mine, and sell after they go up.  But guess what if everyone did that? There would be no network. And the network matters. A lot. Why is BTC the coin with the highest value? Is it the best protocol? Hell no. Many new coin’s protocols are WAY better. BTC is the highest valued coin because it is the coin with the strongest network BY FAR.

So, why mine RVN? Because you want it to kick other coin’s asses over the _long_ haul. If you think RVN can be a top 20 coin by market cap then you should mine it to help MAKE that happen. If not, trade the parabolic spike and you can tell your grandkids you made $6,000.00 betting against the world’s stock market in 2018.

Why are you mining RVN instead of what is the most profitable at the moment and then change it to RVN? It's a waste of money.

Indeed! Finally some nice moves. I am in this coin for like a year, actually bought on rather high price that was around 500 sat, but never regretted this trade. I am happy to see holdings are growing and coin is gaining attraction! I am also mining this coin for months and it is nice to see it is not only for electricity costs anymore.

RVN is looking unstoppable this kind of rise was due from long time as very soon a very big tool will be implemented on this network. It making all the long term holders happy but this is still undervalued coin and there is big room to grow.

Don't burn RVN too much

Raven is just another overhyped shitcoin, it serves no purpose except to make the devs and early adopters rich.  Just another pump and dump coin.  Sell while you still can.

Do I think RVN is a great project with a strong future use case? Yes. Is it going straight up right now? Yes. Does that have anything to do with being listed on Bittrex and Binance? More than likely.

The important thing to remember here is “what is your time frame?”

If you believe that RVN will still be around in 5 years (I do) then it is likely to be worth more than the $0.02 it is worth today. Buy some. HODL it. Be happy in 5 years.

If you think this is all just a parabolic price spike due to new exchange listings and the upcoming asset layer activation then sell now and enjoy having doubled your satoshis in the past week or so. Will it drop lower? I’m confident it will. This is a PARABOLIC move. They ALWAYS correct.  Are you good enough to be a trader and make some sats trading the spike now and then transforming into a HODLer at the low? I know I’m not, but good luck to you.

Both the RVN bashers and the HODLers can be right. It just depends on what your time horizon is.

The one thing I can’t wrap my head around is why RVN haters feel like it is constructive to come to a RVN forum and take a shit all over others people’s current joy at the growth in the project. There are well over 1,000 (more really) truly shitcoins. I can’t see going around and posting why they all suck. What kind of time use is that? Here’s a hint: if you don’t like a project, spend your time somewhere else. If you have a serious concern about a coin’s challenges EXPLAIN them. Help the coin get over them. Just please stop polluting our thread.

Corrections should be welcomed and watched as gaps filler which are created by increase. We shoudn't label everything pump and dump just because market enters in consolidation and accumulation. Don't pay attention to voices but development to understand what's going on and use your own mind if you relay on others and invest on advises of others then can't make money. You should be able to make difference among projects based on future possibilities and chances of success using the development of today.

Exactly that is part of healthy growth ups and downs if price continuously goes up than it is just pump and dump which very dangerous for any ecosystem. Totally agreed with you Raven is on the way to grow rapidly it looking solid project and their development plan is really impressive.

In finanancial ecosystem, prices sometimes up, sometimes down.
It's alway true for crypto ecosystem, including Ravencoin.
If you have coins, you should take profits at your most appropriate specific point of time, then wait weeks later to enter again by buying coins back at much cheaper prices.
No thing, no crypto coin can raise forever.

If raven is really a possible future BTC 3.0, then i don't believe the price will go down before 31 Oct.   Investor for long run would try and buy up as low as possible. Can just see price increase,  until we see Raven with Billion dollar market caps. And rumors of Nasdaq using Raven platform...

That is very advice never invest on unknown person's advice because nobody knows the future and what it will bring. I believe RVN is here to say for long time as like support is increasing rapidly this will make the future more brighter.

Hashrate doubled and difficulty like quadrupled in the past 6 months. Listings on both bittrex and binance also now.
Very exiting to see this thing grow. Think future will be good for raven.... no financial advise, never invest more than you can afford to lose obviously. But yea i keep on mining, would love a 50% decrease in difficulty though LOL. Good times
