Buy a gun!
you guys can mine scrypt at prohashing and get paid in ruby also if your looking to mine it.

edit: nevermind they must have taken it out after the fork bastards lol!

But you can at bemining.net. RBY is offered as a payout option, and you can mine with scrypt, SHA, or X11.

Can we reach out to vendors for affiliation and accept Ruby as a way of payment? We can start with something small like website who sell games cdkeys. This way we can spread our name a bit.

Apparent lack of interest in this coin by the looks of it, like watching paint dry

Due to little volume and trade history, coin-swap.net will be delisting RBY. Please withdraw from your coin-swap.net account ASAP. Thank you.

Well he seems to have missed a bunch of dates in the roadmap, should have had the "cryptotrader" wallet by now, but no sign of it

There's been pretty much no activity here since the nov 20th move to the new block chain. I kinda thought for a second the dev was reviving this coin because what's the purpose of moving all the old coins to a new blockchain/wallet. That essentially makes this a whole new coin.

I would personally like to see someone fork the old code and keep the pow vs of ruby going as most still have lots of coins stuck there. I have a couple thousand I left there on purpose just to see what would happen after the move if anyone could actually get their coins back from bittrex so I only moved 3/4 of my holdings.

Honestly there's nothing going on here with the new fork as I can tell so what was the point? Crypto moves fast and if ruby2.0 is not being developed its essentially worthless. I honestly can't see what rby's plan is here for the future or if success is even possible. He is a hard dev to read, he goes absent for months at a time and comes back with a plan like he never left and leaves again. One thing I will give him is he has been straight forward and honest and that's a huge win in crypto. All I/we can do is sit on it and wait an let time be the judge. I just don't want to see more people lose their time, effort & coins due to inactivity and loss of steam.

Easily said, there are over 100 coins out there, not sure how we're expected to know when to check for a complete change in a coin rendering all previous coins worthless. Its not practical to check every thread on every coin, constantly.

I'm sure you have not invested in all 100 coins.
This dev gave you a full months notice in regards to the exchange to PoS. If you have invested in a coin and aren't looking to it for over a month you should ask yourself if you should have invested in it in the first place because you don't seem to care about the money/btc you invested.

I'm not trashing on all those who lost coins due to the exchange but remember there is no easy money anno 2014. Make sure you keep your old wallet.dat file and private keys because the overall Ruby community is tight and is preparing something to help those who have lost coins due to the exchange.

Actually I run a mining pool with around 100 active coins. When a dev goes and does something like this you don't know until its too late. Seen it happen before and its always the same, if any of these cryptos want to be taken seriously they shouldn't randomly can the whole block chain. You can say what you like but its poor form and leaves many out in the cold.

Its like having fiat in your wallet, going on holiday then returning to find your fiat is completely worthless. Sounds somewhat absurd but its exactly what happened here.

When did you try to sent the coins to bittrex? Before or after 20th of november?

If after than you are to late and won't be able to convert your coins. Exchange to the new blockchain took place between 20th and 23rd of november.
after...
So, I can forget about all my coins?  Angry

I'm afraid so. You had a full month to do it. Announcement on how to convert was pretty clear I must say.

Nevertheless I'm sorry for your lose of coins. Might wanna think of rebuying as the dev has some nice thing going.

Cheers

Awesome. I stop for 4 months and lose the 2k coins I have mined. There is no way at all to recover them?

Just means another wallet generated a PoS block at the same time as you, if you leave it running you'll eventually have a higher staking weight and you'll get a confirmed one

Huh Can anyone shed some light on this ? Ruby 2.0 wallet, all coins where parked at Bittrex and then withdrawn after the swap.
Doesn't say rejected ... but hmm is curious nonetheless Smiley

Less than 500 blocks to go until your Rubies start earning interest when PoS starts, get em in your wallets now

How do you transfer your coins from the V1 wallet to the V2?
I have 2,000 to move.

Nevermind, I had time to read back a few pages.
Honestly don't know why I bother sometimes.
Deleting it all.

Well, That's Crypto :-\

Pretty much - that's why after losing some MMXIV coin due to an incompetent dev - I swore off following any other BS that the guy put out.  Fortunately since I was actively mining ruby - I happened to notice the note to move them all to bittrex before the date.  I'm sure I still ended up losing some due to the time between being mined and the time that bittrex upgraded, etc, I think I left with about the right amount on this one.

Overall though - I'm against any coin that does a hard fork and says to previous holders - too bad, so sad, you lose, game over, up yours and you should have followed the forum posts....

Swaps always leave people behind and for this reason they suck. There should be at least a 6 month window on swaps for those that invest but dont have time to follow threads.
Also, why dont coins have email lists so investors can receive news and updates without having to search for them? Seems elementary really.

The good news on this one is that the Ruby team has been around the block so hopefully they are setting up a safety net for those who missed the swap.

Looking forward to staking Smiley
