Hello my Pink pals,

I'd just like to say something in the hope that it might give everyone here some new perspective and focus.

I'm not interested in bashing anyone here (so I won't mention anyone's name), but I am inclined to agree with what has been said about "a certain someone's" lack of crypto knowledge and understanding, and I have a theory on why he's spreading fud. I think he knows well enough that PinkCoin prices are going to explode sometime soon, but before that happens he's hoping to drive down prices in an attempt buy up cheaper coins. Why else would he come here everyday? Clearly there is interest and some agenda in mind, as some people have already suggested. (Or maybe he is just trolling for the fun of it.)

I think the dev team as well as other people in this thread have done their best in answering everyone's questions about the coin. Getting upset and/or wasting energy on trolls is pointless and frankly giving them exactly what they want. If someone is bringing up valid concerns they should be addressed and if they aren't I feel they can simply be ignored. As PinkCoin's success becomes even greater and more well known it will undoubtedly attract more people and inevitably more trolls. How these new people (including trolls) are dealt with will also be a deciding factor on whether or not even newer people (and trolls) will want to join this community.

In conclusion I'd just like to suggest (to everyone here, not just the devs), continue to respect and address everyone's opinions and legitimate concerns, while simply identifying and then ignoring the trolls (since they can't be avoided and should not be encouraged).

Have a Pink day!  Smiley

I can not get the pinkcoin wallet to connect to the network. The debug log lists the nodes as last seen between 270 and 330 hrs ago. What .conf file do I need? Thanks.

good point grabciu have and will be voting and tried the entanglement engine today awesome work to all involved really starting to streamline the focus of pinkcoin and I like where you guys are heading. It's only a matter of time before this coin gets the exposure it needs to become a mainstream cryptcurrency. It seems like the smart money out there is taking a serious look at pinkcoin and all the reviews I have read are positive. BTW people are still selling PC which should be PINK (minor mal) so get on that.

thank you so much for stepping forward, creating an account and voicing your experiences and providing feedback in a constructive manner. You sir are whats awesome for me about whats happening with Pinkcoin. the community involvement of coming together and uniting over 1 common vision that raises the bar and sets a standard for the rest of the industry.

Love, support, kindness, generosity, respect. that is what we're all about.

For what it's worth, the article on thedailypinkcoin describes what's technically going on in an easy to understand, entertaining, non-technical way that almost anyone can understand.

And really, anyone hung up on the moon illustration being 'unbelievable' should really take a step back and ask themselves if crypto-coins are actually coins either. Really. The moon-earth thing is just an analogy designed to point out just how far apart and unrelated the coins you send and the coins that get received will EVER be. It could be North America and China. It could be London and Paris. It could be the Sun and Alpha Centauri.

The point is that the Pink Entanglement Engine creates a temporary and fragile link between two unrelated accounts, and that link is destroyed forever the moment it gets used.

I belive in PinkCoin and its dev.
PinkCoin is extremely undervalued, it will take a while for people to get aware of that but then it will explode...

Trust my words, give it just 30-45 days Smiley

Hi,

I would like to send some coins to the exchange, but as it seems to be Staking, I don't have access to the full amount.

I have closed and re-opened the wallet (it is unlocked) but it still holds quite a bit in Staking. How do I make the full amount available to be transferred from desktop wallet to exchange?

Is there a command string I need to enter in the console?

I'm sorry I'm not the technical expert, sumgye is but he's sleeping i think.

from what I understand your coins require a certain staking age to mature, mint new coins which is ~8 hours. you will need to wait it out until they finish staking, I think there is a way to turn off staking in the .config file under %appdata%\roaming by adding a line "staking=0" but I'm not entirely sure so please don't quote me on that, perhaps someone more knowledgeable can help me out.

Basically the coins that you are staking are busy securing the blockchain in exchange for the interest they received. They will be available to you again after 510 blocks from the time they started staking.

If you need to keep a balance reserved, go to help>debug window and type 'reservebalance true [number of coins you always want to have on hand]'

If you'd like to turn off staking entirely, open your pinkcoin.conf file and add a line that says 'staking=0'. If you don't have a pinkcoin.conf file, you can create one. On windows, that file needs to be in %appdata%/pinkcoin

None of this will immediately give you access to the coins that are currently staking. But it will stop more coins from being staked in the future.
