Today I decide to use my entire Yobit balance to hold/trade Rubies. Lots of people here emphasize how staking is important, but I expect that volatility will be very high and if you want to buy low and sell high, you may not have time to trade 'em if you always have to transfer your Rubies from wallet to exchange, and back again. Not to mention withdrawal fees. So I'm thinking I just keep mine on the exchange. I take on exchange risk, and forego my stake earnings of ~5% per annum. On the flipside I think I'll make more than 5% trading them ... and as for exchange risk, well what is one to do? Lol ...

If you are good at trading also with the help of a bit of luck and good timing you can make way more that 5% yearly for sure...agree on this.

But in my experience with rubies til now transactionshave been  almost istant and confirmations required up to a couple of minutes (never more).

Also transaction fees are usually really low (fraction of a rubie).

So am acting the opposite of what you just decided: negative factors (transactions time and fees) are not so negative to convince me to bear exchange default risk.

On a side note: letting my wallet open help rubies network ( am a rubies hodler lol) not to mention the tiny sensation of satisfaction I feel every time my wallet receive a staking reward  Cheesy

^Regarding this no worries, it's a single exchange and not a priority anymore at this point but thank you for catching that.

Remember when we all voted for rbies on bittrex and the dev team spoke to bittrex.  They said to get rubies on bittrex would cost 5k usd and then it would most likely need to be licensed to play in the states so bittrex would allow it on their exchange. For those who don't remember just read slack. Anyway before they delete it I found this little lie exposed on the breakout thread.

just curious about BRK coin and BRK chips convertion ,
i saw in breakout poker software using BRK chips not coin ,
is it 1:1 , or 1:... ?

Chips is just play money but you can use it to enter BRK coin tournaments to win real BRK coins.

i'm not talking about now , and i'm not talking about practice chips (play money)
i'm talking about later when ico is finished and poker software is ready to accept BRK deposit and ring games is open,

Oh I see. Afaik the software will use BRK coin directly and not the chips currency that is used in the play money client. When real money opens there will be another client download required to play for real money and it will use BRK coin. This is how I have understood things.

Hi All - to help clarify the question about the gaming operations, perhaps this will help.

We intend on launching a real money version of the poker site, along with a full casino and sportsbook, in early fall.  This will include other verticals as well, including a live casino, and both virtual and fantasy sports.  We will also be launching an eSports site in July, a full digital download game store in August, and a lottery site in September.  All of our licensed and regulated games will be available for play in legal jurisdictions.

Will they all use BRK or is that just the poker/casino?

To clarify the current free poker site chips further, these chips will not now, or in the future, have any value.  Nor will they be exchangeable for any other types of chips, tokens, prizes, crypto currencies or fiat currencies in any form.  They are, however, available to be used for free tournament entries that award BRK and other prizes as announced.

When we launch our completely separate real money poker site, the chips in play will have a value that is directly tied into the value of BRK.  Those chips can be considered to be "real money" and will be treated as such.  They have no relationship to the value of chips on the free poker site.

This site will be licensed and regulated, and will be closed to U.S. players and players from other countries where we are not licensed.  It is our intent, over time, to be licensed in as many jurisdictions as possible.

So when bittrex said you are licensed and legal in the US this was absolute bs? As it's closed to the US it would make that impossible.  Another bittrex lie lmao. Trash exchange they are.

I haven't tried this yet but it looks nice, this is like the old school pen and paper rpgs?
About rubies price I agree too I think this is probably one of the most undervalued coins out. There are whales in this coin I think but none seem to be actively buying lately.

I'm not really sure what to describe the game as. I guess it would fit into a type of MUD game of sorts.

I haven't had the chance to personally play it yet but will give it a go shortly.

Dragon Knights of Valeria - The Game That Pays You To Play!

About Dragon Knights of Valeria

Dragon Knights of Valeria (https://dknight2.com) is a popular MMORPG game with over 1,600 registered players. Players can earn DOGE, HYPER, GP, HTML5, SWIFT, BTC, LTC, RBIES and Dragon Points (DP) as they play the game which can then be traded for different cryptocurrencies (CC) and withdrawn in game. The creator, Anarchist of Crypto Database (http://cryptodatabase.net), is also responsible for curating a CC library that catalogs over 1,600 different coins and supplies information for each one.

Once inside the world of Dragon Knights of Valeria players can explore the map in search of new towns, fight monsters for rewards and DP, and do quests that also award DP for each part completed. Each town offers its own set of equipment, pets, quests, exchanges, gambling, banks, clans, and assorted other options.

Towns also offer a gateway into their very own Kingdom where they can build villages, purchase more land, gather resources such as wood and fish, upgrade their fishing and woodcutting levels to increase the amounts gained, and train their own army once they reach level 10. You can send your soldiers to attack other players kingdoms in the hopes of taking more land, gold, and DP from your opponent.

The current options for withdrawal from the game are HYPER, HTML5Coin, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitswift, Dogecoin, Rubies, and GoldPieces. The amount that players can withdraw depends on the coin they choose and is mainly based on the coin's worth and game balance. The higher the balance is for a coin the more players can get when they withdraw.

The quests in game tell a short story and is broken up into many parts. Each part of the story requires players to travel across the map in search of the next part, and each one that they find will reward them with some Dragon Points and/or other items such as gold or pets (coming soon). There are currently 8 main quests and 19 town quests.

The maximum level that can be gained is currently 596. This could take players a long time to gain this tremendous achievement which adds to the duration of the game. As the player progresses in the game the experience required per level will get higher and higher. Monster stats will also adjust with each level gained by players.

Dragon Knights of Valeria has a chat rain bot that randomly awards a user HTML5, HYPER, BTC, LTC, SWIFT, DOGE, RBIES, and GP every 10 minutes if they have posted in chat within the last 50 posts. Players can also pay the Dark Wizard to cast a Meteor Spell which will split what you donated and send it to 3 random people in chat.

I haven't tried this yet but it looks nice, this is like the old school pen and paper rpgs?

.. info with regarding to this dump which is ongoing from the trading site?

It is something I really can't understand: rubies is a coins more alive and active than the main part of the other cryptocurrencies: there are every week (temped to say almost everyday) good news regarding it, new gaming businesses accepting it, a team of active developers with projects upcoming and already realized ones, moneypot going to integrate it soon ( not sure when next steps will be done butI already can see a rubies balance beside the btc one into my moneypot account) a good community following it but still people is selling.
The more gaming site allowing it can only mean more devs involved and more people using it so things can only get better in my opinion.

One reason could surely be the price peaking of btc but  I don't feel it's enough to justify its marker behaviour.

What I sincerely think is exchanges are mainly attempted by speculators whose aim is to make fast btc/money with PnD coins and they don't consider rubies one of them.

I'm personally acting countercurrent and am accumulating, and staking, everyday more and  I'm confident my reward will come sooner or later: hope am not wrong.  Smiley

Well, that's the view we take. There are (of course) no guarantees in this game, but we're taking the long view on Rubies.

We are not planning on launching our own coin, we support Rubies and it will be deployed across MP.

This is an astute response, and leaves me bullish on everything touching MP. Moneypot has to give unmitigated support to its apps. That Betterbets has taken the initiative to launch a coin built to serve the MP community, more power to 'em. Ok, guess I will continue to accumulate & trade Rubies, come what may. My timeframe is quite long, and this is fun money, (or 'funny' money ... lol), so lets have some fun!

Oops! Now I'm afraid that if this current news will do any damage to rubies. lol

I hope my fear won't become true.  Lips sealed
