Hello I read about the centralization development in India in regards to its currency. If you want to build a decentralized digital currency for India, aren't you going to face enormous problems from your government? How does that all work out? I mean what India is doing now is probably the strictest centralization a country could go for. Are you all based in India and is your project welcome/legal?
That's why this dev team is based in the US.
We are setting this up as a nonprofit with protection under US law.
The team consists of visionaries from diverse backgrounds; Indian, Pakistani, American, among others.
The name Rupee is used by eight countries for their fiat, not just India.
Finally, thanks for the answer. And it makes a lot of sense because I would have been surprised if India accepted a project which tries to decentralize currency while the Indian government wants to centralize currency even further. And I learned that there are several countries using Rupee
