I'm mining with a couple BFL's, a little single and a single. My advice to you is to setup a linux vm, download the source for all of these apps, and compile by hand--that's what I did. There are some clues in the compile output to explain how to get this working.
For what it's worth, I'm also not mining on localhost. I have the wallet and proxy running on a VM on my main desktop, and my custom-compiled cgminer is running off a laptop in my storage room with the asics--out of earshot from the desktop. You just need to hook the remote cgminer up to the ip of your proxy on port 8080 to get it working.

No one is saying you can't mine with asics. We're saying we can't mine with specific ones and are asking for help from the community.
Are you mining with your antminer? A neptune? BFL single?
I see from your history you've asked for help from the community. Did someone offer a bit of advice that that encouraged you to try again?
You're obviously experienced in this matter since you're selling asics. Which asic are you using to make this work? How about giving back to the community and offering a bit of advice?

which miner/configuration do you use usually for mining with the BFL? can you provide the command line?
I also have a BFL asic (little single) and I didn't even bother trying with that one on this coin. I need to use bfgminer once again because cgminer doen't see the single. I'm sure it's the same with jalapenos.
I'll keep watching this coin and see if anyone more experienced with cubes etc can post something for me to try. I like coins that try something new, good luck.

If you know how to make BFL Jalapeno or whatever is the name work with CGMiner than there should be not many problems
for you to setup MED solo mining. Check for info on MED website and around then let us know at what stage you stucked. As
for viruses I have detected none.
What's the current network hash of the coin? Are a lot of people mining it?
Current difficulty is 586 which relates to around 42 GHashes if formula (diff * 2^32 / 60) is used. It is adjusted math based
on Bitcoin formula that can be found at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Difficulty I think there is at least a dozen of miners right now.
It is still the right time to get a lot of coins for cheap, with as little as 1.65 GHashes I'm getting at least few blocks per hour.
EDIT:
At the time of writting and editing this post network difficulty went up to 938 which means that since previous difficulty retarget
(from 342 to 586 if I can recall correctly) mining was going on with around 68 GHashes on average.

Feature request - Coin Control. Not being able to pick unspent inputs as outputs for some transaction is a major issue in
my opinion. When sending 10 MED to people on giveaway thread current wallet was refusing to make transaction with no
fees. It practically forced me to pay fee even though I know there are dozens of unspent inputs which are two days old
and thus should be fee-free. For some BS reason, MED wallet and other wallets without Coin Control tend to use newest
unspent inputs (the youngest incoming transactions) instead of oldest ones.

the point is that in MediterraneanCoin huge ASIC hashrates need also a corresponding CPU computational power; so if a single workstation has an enormous ASIC computational power, it will automatically be limited by CPU power (number of cores, cache memory etc) and network difficulty.
also, from a technological point of view, we think that progress cannot be stopped; before or later, someone will try the most powerful ASICs with MediterraneanCoin and we are very curious to see it working.

No, cgminer can not see the cubes or blades from what I've read; it will never work. They use their own firmware that you go to w/ your browser to configure pool / solo minging (like logging into a router). The one thing you need beforehand is a stratum proxy and I can use both the one mentioned in Dogies's guide and also bfgminer 32 bit (64 bit doesn't have the ability to act as a proxy).
It appears that I can also use your proxy because the cube is reporting some activity of shares accepted. I did leave it running (w/ and w/o cgminer) for awhile but nothing shows up in the wallet. I've only had this cube a month or so and I'm not as well versed in it's operation as others here I'm sure.
One good thing though, I now have beer.

ok;
currently mcproxy does not support stratum protocol but only http (i.e. json getwork over http). for incoming requests from miners.
so the situation could be the following:
cube <---(stratum protocol)---> Dogies'proxy OR bfgminer (acting as stratum proxy) <-- (http protocol) --> mcproxy (scrypt stages of PoW) <--(http protocol) --> wallet
so what we need is:
- some sort of proxy (Dogies'proxy, bfgminer or else) which acts as a stratum aggregator on (left) side but performs http requests (towards mcproxy)
- or a modified mcproxy with support for stratum protocol (for requests)

If I understood correctly you are using CGMiner that is built into your ASIC device and connect it to mcproxy over port 8080.
That won't work because you need modified CGMiner, one provided with wallet and mcproxy on MED website. CGMiner needs
access to computer's CPU and RAM for scrypt part of mining process.

I like this coin's concept. But I think the name needs to be change to something else. It is too long to spell. Also it is restricted to Mediterranean. Also I suggest to make a pool instead of mining solo.
