Yeah would be a waste. I was just making statements I don't have many mining power but was asking myself questions and how to invest  Wink

Keeping a computer on is pretty lame, so was asking myself if some dualminer like Gridseed or those USB dualminer wouldn't be better both for energy and freeing my computer for other tasks

Was wondering, why can't you use gridseed asic to mine MED ?

You most certainly could, depends how good your coding skills are.

Yeah that's the main problem  Wink

Was thinking to plug it with antminers on a raspberry pi to mine MED at low energy cost. Using the scypt part to back the SHA256 process.

No way , ., but if you want to lose your time and mine with ARM with some kH - try

3570k at 4ghz can handle about 30gh's of asic
4930k at 4ghz can handle about 60gh's of asic

I didn't want to mine with the RPi processor. I intended to replace the CPU usage by a Gridseed ASIC so that i can mine MED on SHA256 ASIC without having to run my computer (and saving watts on the way)

I can't see how this will be profitable

3570k at 4ghz can handle about 30gh's of asic
4930k at 4ghz can handle about 60gh's of asic

what is you SHA and scrypt portion  ?

Personally the hex16a2 I have found to be the most efficient Med miner and they can be had for $100-$150 right now

bit of a pain but I have each one running in its own virtual machine all pointing to its own bfgminer on the host machine but it seems to work well.

from techobit,.,.,., or

they make and windows soft support

Why i think , the result from SHA and scrypt portion will be bad .,. but if you use SHA part to mine MED with CPU and with  scrypt any altcoin .,.,. then will work  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

MED second generation latest software:

Cgminer:    https://github.com/mrtexaznl/cgminer/releases/download/v4.0.1-med/win32-cgminer-4.0.1.zip

Bfgminer:   https://github.com/mrtexaznl/bfgminer/releases/download/v3.10.0.1-med/win32-bfgminer-3.10.0.1.zip

Pools:

http://med.mine.nu/

http://med.nxpool.com/med/index.php

http://ibipot.com

also i suggest to use multiple pools accounts with failover strategy

bfgminer -o pool1:port -u pool1workername -p pool1workerpass --failover-only -o pool2:port -u pool2workername -p pool2workerpass

cgminer -o pool1:port -u pool1workername -p pool1workerpass --failover-only -o pool2:port -u pool2workername -p pool2workerpass

in this example , if pool1 gous down miner will automaticaly switch to pool2, when pool1 back to live miner will switch again to pool1

Total mined MED to block 130855 is 8 168 661 MED, and 191 831 339 MED waiting to be mined   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Speaking at any conference anytime soon? You really need a larger team. Im not sure you have the correct vision or skills to take Med to where it should be.
If you think you can do better, join the team.
