Hi Small!
news for multithreading?
 Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

hi!
yes, we have updated mcproxy with an improved version of multithreading support,
download it here: https://github.com/mrtexaznl/mcproxy/tree/master/mcproxy/dist

now the -a option should work better (we have worked to fix some memory leaks).
and we have added another option (-f nnnn) which allows to specify that you want to use precisely nnnn threads.

java -jar dist/mcproxy.jar  -h
parameters:
-s: hostname of wallet/pool (default: localhost)
-p: port of wallet/pool (default: 9372)
-b: bind to local address (default: )
-l: local proxy port (default: 8080)
-a: use asynchronous (multithread) http server (default: use synchronous http server); takes no parameters
-f: use multithread http server using max n threads; parameter: integer greater then zero
-v: verbose

and we are testing second generation miners with integrated mcproxy for use with mining pool with stratum support. will be announced soon; in this moment, we have a new modified bfgminer (but we will modify also cgminer). solo mining and pool mining should continue as usual (cgminer/bfgminer + mcproxy) for the moment.

yes.. i tried but not work... everytime only 1CORE used.

javar -jar mcproxy.jar -a -f 4
&
java -jar mcproxy.jar -f 4
same results of
java -jar mcproxy.jar

25% of quadcore amd 945... only 1 core used

info about my jvm
java version "1.7.0_51"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_51-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.51-b03, mixed mode)

can you check the affinity of java.exe on your pc? do this with mcproxy running:

taken from here: http://superuser.com/questions/309617/how-to-limit-a-process-to-a-single-cpu-core

If you're running Windows Vista/7 (possibly XP, but not sure) it's really rather simple.

Type in: Control+Shift+Esc to get your taskmanager up.

Click on the Processes tab

Find the process that needs its processor affinity changed

Right-click on the process

Click on "Set Affinity"

Here you can select which processor(s) your process will use.

What does this mean?  Particularly the part where it says Pool 0 not providing work fast enough?

one more question:

for solo command

cgminer -o http://localhost:8080 -u mediterraneancoinrpc -p  same_password_in_mediterraneancoin.conf_file -D -T

is "mediterraneancoinrpc"=my wallet address???

or just whatever I wanna set?

example of mediterranean.conf file:

rpcuser=mediterraneancoinrpc
rpcpassword=CHANGEME
server=1
addnode=node1.mediterraneancoin.org
addnode=node2.mediterraneancoin.org
addnode=node3.mediterraneancoin.org
addnode=node4.mediterraneancoin.org

so the -u option is the value of rpcuser

is the faucet done? i cant get into the site.

please try now

I got some Med. thank you Cheesy

I was trying to solo mine in linux but im having troubles trying to build cgminer for 32bits. your binary is only for 64 Sad , do you have the binary for 32?

no I am sorry we do not have a binary for 32 bit right now.
we are working hard to fix the mining pool software, it has max priority now  Wink

it is not very difficult to build cgminer under linux, essentially you need:
apt-get pkg-config libtool libcurl4-openssl-dev libncurses5-dev libudev-dev autoconf automake build-essentials ...

also have a look here or google:
https://github.com/mrtexaznl/cgminer

Basic *nix build instructions:
   To actually build:

   ./autogen.sh   # only needed if building from git repo
   CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native" ./configure
   make

   No installation is necessary. You may run cgminer from the build
   directory directly, but you may do make install if you wish to install
   cgminer to a system location or location you specified.

if you have problems building the binary, come back here reporting all the output!  Cool
