What is Operation Shock & Awe?
Operation Shock & Awe is the internal name for a social initiative spearheaded through a series of giveaways from various outlets. How will Operation Shock & Awe work?

Part 1, which is currently underway and will continue all the way through to the 2nd PoW phase, will be used to spread the word around about SilkCoin and in turn get listed on MintPal. This will provide us some stability and foundation going through to the 2nd PoW phase.
Part 2, which will collerate with the start of the 2nd Pow phase, will be a full on social media blitz to get as many people as possible to hear about SilkCoin. We already have some big crypto names in social media lined up ready for part 2. The names of these social media accounts will be anounced at the start of part 2.

Between the 2 above Twitter accounts, they have a following of over 36 000 people. SilkCoin will be tweeted about daily to each of these 36 000 followers.

Each voter will receive 15 SC per vote. There are additional prizes which include a 15 000 SC grand prize to the person who votes the most along with 2 500 SC prizes each for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place voters

that's funny i posted that on reddit couple hours ago. I mean the "eco-system" could be called darknet. people wouldn't know what i mean if i said eco-system.

You should be careful about what you are saying. Darknet sounds not very ... uhm... legal... and there is already the resemblance to silkroad. I don't know what the devs have in plan but they said that they have nothing to do with silkroad, if I remember it correctly. Just my 2 SC - it's up to you.
darkcoin, darkwallet and darkmarket have been quite successful with their marketing. I am all for privacy and freedom that's what dark represents to me, areas that the government can't do anything about. It is what drew me to this coin.
I know what you mean dude. But the unlimited privacy also attracts people who deal with child pornography for example. I don't want to discuss this further here because there are many discussions about that in the internet to be found.
And I don't think that silkcoin needs it. Look at all the crap and copycat coins out there. Something with real innovation like Silkcoin will have success. Just be patient

anyone knows how much was the hashnet when the 1 phase POW have start ?
If I remember correctly it peaked at around 65 G/Hashes.anyone knows how much was the hashnet when the 1 phase POW have start ?

Ah! So it's not that they stake continuously, after a set of coins have hit a block it takes another 12 hours for these batch coins to be able to stake again?

and they are refunded pretty quickly to start ageing again Q

Have been reading a few pages back already but can't find a similar problem. In my wallet only part of my coins is staking, but the total balance is a lot higher. Shouldn't all of my coins that are 12+ hours mature be in the staking part of the wallet? Or am I missing a crucial point here?
