I think social coin is a great idea. I really like to participate here.
I just found out by the giveaways, but I am glad if I can contribute. if the coins will hit the exchange I will try to buy some if I can effort them.

How about this idea for SocialCoin:
Next to charity, the coin could also emphasise people's social nature by having the coin accepted in social places like restaurants, coffeeshops, clubs etc.
Wherever we spend time with people we care about we could pay in SocialCoins.
We could sell paper wallets as gift cards.
If we hand out paper wallets to homeless people, they'd be able to eat and get stuff easily with it.
The coin will do a lot better if it's also used for day to day things. If only for charity, people might as well send them some bitcoins as they'd be easily available.
This world could benefit from people caring a bit more about each other.

In order to push this we need to "leave" the online world and each of us who care should go to his close "offline" community and suggest this to business / offline charities.
I'll get started in my area and hopefully some of you will do the same.

I have a long queue of unconfirmed balances and it's taking a long time. Is this because of the overall low hashrate of the pool and network? I'm using hotpoolz.
There was a cron job that got stuck but is fixed now.
These coins also take a long time to confirm when mined like was said before.
