No, because it triggers tax and I want to be able to actually use the profits that I make from crypto some day. Tax rates are usually significantly lower after a one year holding period and if you hold you don't have to pay taxes until you sell. This includes trading alts for Bitcoin or vice versa.

Would it only trigger tax if you withdrew the money in to your bank or even if you were to let the funds (fiat or otherwise) sit on the exchange?

SONM is a good project, don't follow pump and dumps, look at the team, the community support and the progress.
Make sure you understand what the project is about and you have read available documentation, blog, news...

Then make your own educated judgement.

You sound like you are holding a big bag of SONM

I did my own reserach and my conclusion is that SONM is way undervalued at this moment. When they release their testnet software in december/january I am going to be a happy investor and laugh at all the weak hands that sold for 0.03€-0.10€ per sonm.

The main thing is that they have a few things in the early stage, which leads people to distrust many things, and they only have to take practical actions to develop the project so that some people can shut up.After all, SONM's plan is unique now.

$1 is the test price for this project I think this kind of result will make satisfied the all investors who are in for long term. Let us see when this milestone will be achieved recent progress is looking truly awesome.

Last night had chance to read the blog post about their visit and experience they got by participating in Barcelona. Though many things were not fully clearly told but between the words there are some positive hints. It won't be wise to see things in short term because project is trying to cover big piece of pie as share in computing services providers space. I am all long on SONM now.

Out of the 820K ETH, half or more than half has been converted into fiat by the team.But still, they have a huge amount of money+GNT tokens, which is way more than SONM team/investors hold.

Timewise we are still several months behind Golem. It took Golem around half a year to reach what would be around $1 for SONM, so there's still time.

When the MVP software update will come in december or january next year, we will see a big climb in price. We will see 1$ level at that time. After the upcoming fork we will see a small pump in sonm, however btc will retrace to 5k level.

$1 seems pretty easy indeed. I've actually been wondering about whether or not it's possible to go higher, since Golem went to the equivalent of like $1.30 at a time where the crypto market was significantly smaller. So perhaps SONM could go even higher due to the much larger crypto market.

which is a miracle in itself. No offense to golem, it's a good project with good potential, but Sonm is honestly a few miles ahead. It won't be long until sonm surpasses Golem in terms of marketcap and coin value

$0.10 is a good price, marketcap is still very very low.

Honestly now is a great time to buy, don't aim for maximum profits, aim for profits in general. In december the real alpha release (arch) will be launched, no doubt that'll drive the price to a stable 0.4$, in august next year they'll launch their official network, which should drive the price up to its new ATH
