Never read a whitepaper that so clearly targets a competitor before.
Its strange. If you have a good product you don't write pages about someone elses product.

Although i kinda agree with you i do understand why they put the comparison in the whitepaper. They know that they will get compared to Golem and iExec constantly, so why not put it right into the whitepaper?

I think there is a healthy competition here, where each project is trying to promote itself without dropping another...

Yes, competition is always there in every aspect life in this way now SONM is one of the compete for Golem. Till now golem is ruling all the things in name of the supercomputer now SONM has come forward with more advanced features and it is better than Golem. So we have to wait for its ICO how far it can be reputable from the people.

What distinguishes SONM from Golem?

Read the whitepaper, there is a whole section about this
http://sonm.io/Sonm1.pdf
much better than Golem

All I can say with the whitepaper is SONM is best when compared with Golem and IEX.Will have to see how the team updates after the ICO is over.Golem thread has fewer updates from the team and IEX is just trying to get better.

Investors must know which project they have to enter we will see when the ICO will be opened
I personally believe SONM can compete with the previous competitor therefore I support this project.

What makes you think this? Their whole github is forked and their project has no development. It's all speculation, stop hyping for no reason.

You must remember this SONM project is on the pre-launch period . All teams are in the developing process and They also keep it as secret before released . You can read the whitepage before asking about the github and ICO launching is not yet released.

I'm planning on jumping in, but already own golem too, just find it strange to see so much reference to them.

It's easy to criticise other projects, a lot harder to build something yourself. We'll see how they go.

And yeah, it's going to be a long haul for all attempting it, doesn't matter who, distributed computing isnt easy.

Golem has code written and in testing, Somn has only promises so far.
Check both githubs, decide for yourself.

I think every project has its own advantages..
and obviously sonm has attracted many participants despite many competitors out there

Yeah well, they are at the beginning of development, what do u expect?
As u can see in their roadmap, their main releases start in September this year and continue in 2018. So it wont be a ready product right after the ICO, they actually need the money for development Tongue

^this

Since you have an actual ML engineer on board this surely should be more than just a buzz word for potential uses. Thus, in which sense is support for ML/NNs etc planned to be added?

Don't Get Involved
It is a pity that I missed the pre-ico on the 15th of April. Anyone can tell me what is rate of pre-ICO tokens to the SNM tokens? And if there a holding period for the funder's fee?
Hello bro
You have to change the signature code and text profile message with the latest code, you will not get stakes if you still use the old signature code  Smiley
