We released Hyperledger Iroha v1 after 2.5 years of development: https://www.hyperledger.org/blog/2019/05/06/welcome-hyperledger-iroha-1-0-flattening-the-dlt-learning-curve

Hyperledger Iroha is the blockchain technology that powers a part of the Sora DAE (Decentralized Autonomous Economy). Please try it out and enjoy!

This is in Japanese, but it is an article about the Hyperledger Iroha release event. Nobuyuki Idei (former CEO of Sony; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobuyuki_Idei) was kind enough to speak at the event as well.

great to see a project, which doing real work, not just copy somebody else sources and immediately trying to sell it to investors.  Will be glad to see project progress!

I was able to talk about XOR and our decentralized autonomous economy and technology at Pioneers in Vienna last week. It was a great way for us to get some exposure about our project from high quality, mainstream people. I will try to post some photos from the event later, but for now I just wanted to give an update on that.

BTW, an article about our project with the central bank of Cambodia was in the newspaper today:

https://m.phnompenhpost.com/business/nbc-set-lead-blockchain-use

We are not specifically mentioned, but we (Soramitsu) are the vendor making the project. We are using Hyperledger Iroha, which is the same blockchain that is used for Sora!

The XOR token will be distributed via voting rights and people can invite their friends and entitle them the power to fund projects and participate in the utility of the token.  Interested in learning more?  Start here.  http://t.me/sora_xor

Votes will be distributed via a mobile app and then the votes can be given to projects. If a project receives the votes it needs, then new tokens are created and distributed to the project.

seems cool, but what's the plan to distribute the coin?

“We’re trying to create a real economy, a useful tool, not something you buy just to get rich.” -Makoto Takemiya, CEO of Sora.

Here is a link to the Sora Telegram group, where the conversation continues!  http://t.me/sora_xor

I should put out that we are technologists and working to implement the platform. Creating an economy cannot be done by us but needs to be done by everyone working together.

“Imagine if Bitcoin had started out not by distributing BTC as block rewards, but instead distributed rewards to a pizza company for taking BTC in exchange for their goods.  If that had been the economic model, we would have seen much more mass adoption in the last ten years.” -Makoto Takemiya, CEO of Sora.

why would a pizza company accept btc in the beginning?

The point is that instead of creating new tokens for economically non-productive uses, if tokens are created for expanding the economy then it is much easier to create a decentralized economy.

You just described inflation, the opposite of what bitcoin aims at.

Maybe you can bring up a better explanation unless inflation is what you mean.

Bitcoin may not aim at inflation, but it has inflation (up to 21 mil). The point I would like to make is that inflation isn't bad. If it is used productively (to create new goods/services) then inflation is a very good thing. What is bad is debasement, which can happen if you inflate for non-productive uses.

Any news about the whitepaper @makoto1337? I want to see/learn more details about SORA.

We just changed a few parts of our model, so I need to update the paper still. It will take a little bit longer. The implementation of the system is mostly done, however.

We work with the National Bank of Cambodia, but this is a separate project and unrelated.

Unrelated but is great for us investors, when we want to know about a companies reliability and trust.. too many shoddy half completed poorly implemented MVP's

No plans for AMA's yet as we haven't even released a whitepaper yet  Cheesy

We are still in semi-stealth, first community building mode.

You can see some experiments in creating our brand here: http://instagram.com/sora_xor/

Great website and instagram channel, really professional.  Cheesy

You can check out our reddit too!

Reserve me a spot somewhere on this project  Cool

We are still trying to figure out exactly how to incorporate a larger community of people. Generally some kind of decentralized bounty system would be nice. Also, we can have people run some software to secure the token across blockchain networks.

You can join out chat at http://sora.org/chat/ and try to get involved.
