Yea im not attacking the devs integrity not at all.IEC coin I mine pretty much 24/7 the coin is a standard buy which I measure by next to bitcoin.Pollystripe I know to be a standup dude and I trust him but I do not want to install the wallet for that simple reason. Most likely I will eventually because the coin is very important to me I just haven't done it yet.My spec coins still sit at suprnova because im afraid to install the wallet. It very well could be multiminer yep that is causing the problem.I just cant figure out how to get my miners to work by the command line I have tried and tried I just cant get them to work my thunders yes via multiminer  and my s1s are really simple dont need multi miner for those  but the orbs and the  zeus  I cant get my system to see them no matter what I do I have read every single tutorial I can find and I cant get them to work.So I gave one to Hypermist after getting mad and tossing the other 4 out in the yard but that zeus is just to expensive to trash.

Also At least a few people involved in this coin are easy to locate on certain exchanges, they have more to lose from it being scammy than gain.
though I would love to know how it's coming along, hoping accumulation stage is over for this cycle

Ok whatever.I ran 3 wallets with this so called "BASIC" code and lost a bunch of my crypto 4 th time I did it just to see and yep happened again I run the same stuff now on vmware and it doesnt happen.I never said that the wallet was infected per se and im not questioning your integrity.you dont have to be a rocket scientist to know that something is askew.Im no programmer or a dev and im new to crypto been in it a little over a year.If im wrong im wrong I don't mind admitting it but something isn't right.I use multi miner by Nate wools because im just lazy but if I don't run it on vmware I get hacked or have been same with all these types of wallets so Im just not taking the risk.Maybe just my system I don't know I know others are out there that know much more about this than me and many run them with no problems. It is a problem I have that will not go away and I have even whiped my entire hard drive same problems.

Edit:There is a possibility I could be completely wrong yes but I don't think so.Trial and error tells me otherwise. If I remember correctly Mr Wools told me himself that bad guys can use certain code to gain access to your system now a days and he would have to rewrite the entire codebase and hes just not going to do that.

yes there are scams and malicious coders in crypto, but at first it seemed like you accused the spec dev's of releasing an infected wallet which i can assure you is not the case. i have absolutely nothing to do with the wallet but im always cautious when installing new wallets and in this case i asked a very paranoid security expert to look at it and he couldnt find anything suspicious. im no expert but to me it seems like there might be a vulnerability in the multi-miner that gets exploited by hackers? and Mr Wools doesnt want to rewrite the code to make it safer? im sure there are some safer methods to mine.

It sure took awhile to confirm the ones I mined Then I seen the skewed code.I wont be installing this wallet. No more code injection for me.Better safe than sorry.I know you all say false positive but hackers have learned how to utilize this code for their own nefarious purposes. There are plenty of wallets out there that do not give positives at all and even some of these can be risky.I could run sandboxed or on VMware but why bother?Plenty of other safe crypto out there.Everytime I install wallets like these something happens if I dont run on VMware or in sandbox its just not worth it.Anyhoo good luck.

its just a very basic qt wallet man, why so paranoid lol? the coin is just a small part of this project, much bigger things coming and you think they would put that at risk by releasing infected wallets?? the code is out there on github, review it or have it reviewed and share with us where the nasty stuff is? heck, i'll even put up a bounty of 100k SPEC if anyone can proof that the wallet is infected and/or is injecting malicious code

I think this coin needs some work on the difficulty re-target. It jumps from somewhere in the 50's and 4 blocks are immediately found then it goes to the 250's for the next four and sits.

I'm thinking maybe a KGW or different block re-target.

What do you guys think?  Huh

Anyone else noticing the difficulty in actually finding blocks? The chain has been hanging alot in the last week.

there are quite "some" clients online, so i assume some testing going on, though  my understanding
says the chain should move because there are clients regardless of someone testing whatever, but it could be a matter of size or of
lack of my knowledge. Dev?  Could you educate us? I am sure this coin has a high percentage on technical interested users.
