After two years in the making, I'm happy to announce that we completed the development of a very efficient SAT solver for SHA256.
On Intel D54250WYK NUC with 16 GB of RAM, we're getting about 100 TH/s.

With great power comes great responsibility.

In order to protect the Bitcoin ecosystem, we'll sell each month only 1,000 SAT10 units.
The initial cost will be $5,000 per unit. We'll sell up to two units per customer each month.

Each SAT10 unit will contain the following:

- Intel D54250WYK NUC
- 16 GB Kingston SODIMM
- 1TB WD Magnetic 2.5" HDD (we'll provide SSD upgrade option)
- Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 card
- Spondoolies's Propriety mini PCI Express card
- Pre-configured Ubuntu 14.04 with cgminer, running as full node

The mini PCI Express card contains proprietary essentials close elements of the SAT Solver.

We did a large scale testing of our initial batch last week but beside testing and development, we don't intend to run our own farm.

If you're interested to participate in a draw to buy the first batch (shipping immediately from stock), please fill the following form:
http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/pages/sat10-draw

Thanks,
Guy

Assuming this is accurate, the J/GH must be minuscule (Say, less than .01 Watts/Ghash). Furthermore, assuming you deliver 1000 units/MONTH, that's roughly 100 Petahash/MONTH?

kind of to good to be true /\  but I put in for 2 of them.

Now I would truly offer to do a very long detail review of it since this would be a game changing device for btc.   Much like asics changing the way from  gpus.

Most likely it is april fool's on me.

How do I manually update the firmware on an SP20E? I can't find the download anywhere on your site. (Spondoolies).

I have 2 that are using the 'latest' Firmware per the webgui, but it's using cgminer 4.7.0 still and westhash doesn't seem to work on those.
All the others are 4.8.0 with the same firmware revision. Weird.

go back to manual firmware load and show me the choices it offers

The variance in hash rate is normal across all miners IMO.

I have 10 SP20's that have a 10% variance across the board. A few need more juice to get to the same spot as the others, or less hashes to consume the same power.

I'm running 5 units, all currently with identical settings. It's a mixed bag on performance.  The temps are all very close, but the hash rate varies amongst the units from ~4000 to ~4450.  I was hoping for a bit more consistency but this may normal.  I'v also got one unit where ASIC#1 is totally DOA from Spondoolies-Tech.  Not really sure what to do about that.

Regarding the DOA ASIC, contact spondoolies-tech support 1 or spondoolies-tech support 2 on Skype. Make sure you can give them access using teamviewer or google rdp.

You should have the "Manual" update button in the UI.
The site for downloading the updates is up (http://firmware.spondoolies-tech.com), but uses some scripts to download and unpack the firmware only available for your miner type.

To update cgminer for the westhash version, you should SSH into the unit and dump the right version of cgminer into /etc/bin (renaming the existing one as cgminer.bak).
Do not forget to make it executable (rwxr-xr-x). Then reboot.

Hello everyone. I'm a CoinTerra refugee and new to the Spondoolies camp. Just got an SP31 up and running over the weekend.

I can't seem to find any definitive explanation for setting the "Fan Speed" parameter. The documentation says the fan speed affects the unit's hash rate.  But is the effect of fan speed on hash rate direct or consequential?  That is, is the fan speed setting directly used in setting the ASIC clock rates, or does a faster/slower fan simply mean cooler/warmer ASICs that subsequently mean faster/slower hashing?

The reason I ask is that my miner is in relatively cold (60F) server room and the chassis temps are holding at 21C front and 59C/59C rear.  So I was wondering if it's possible to devote less PSU power to air movement, and more power to the ASICs by reducing the fan speed. Or is such an endeavor a fool's errand?

Any sound (pardon the pun) advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

This might be a little off topic I appolgize.  Just wanted to warn you that you might want to switch names before you go to far. Terra Hash was a scam bitcoin maker that ran off with pre-orders.   So if anyone googles your name it has TONS of bad PR.

@notlist3d: Thanks for the fair warning. I'll be sure to have my flame suite ready. But I can assure you I AM NOT THAT GUY!!! I'm just some dude down in Mississippi trying to mine a few coins. My TerraMiner IV units suffered premature deaths, so I made scrap metal out of them and moved to Spondoolies.

Hi.  I run 10 of the SP31s and here are some of my settings.

Most quiet, my most efficient setting:  Fan 40 then .64 .64. .67 and PSUs to 750w each.  This should equal about 3500 ghs. At this setting, my AC units are louder than the miners.

For about 4,000 ghs:  Fan 60, .65 .65 .70 and PSUs to 925w each.

I have other settings above this, but these are the two lower settings that I most often use, especially if the miners will be unattended.  Please keep in mind that these settings may not work for others and are based on my cooling/ventilation setup, etc.

Hope this helps a little.  I have seen little fluctuation in hashing rate with fan speeds, more so with PSU voltage limits.

Thanks, I suppose I need to get in touch with someone then.  I have another rig that I cannot connect to at all.  I know I have the correct IP address on it but it will not let me communicate with it.  It just says the server will not let me connect to it.

Any suggestions on that one?
I'd try using a serial cable first, but you probably don't have one. Chances are high that the internal MMC has gotten corrupted or gone bad. Try a SD boot disk (or possibly a SD recovery). http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog/13098521-sp10-sp2x-sp3x-recovery-sd-card-boot-sd-card-creation-instructions

If I had a serial cable, what are you suggesting I do with it.  Also, all of my computers are Mac's with Windows 7 via Parallel's installed in my Mac's.  If I need to go to buy a laptop to do what you suggest with a serial cable, I'll do it.  First, I need to know what I would do with the serial cable?

Personal text my ass....
Good day.

Wondering if I can get an update and provide it to the members of the group:

- SP20/30/31/35 - SOLD OUT - When can we expect more?  I know you were selling refurbs and those are gone as well.
- When can we expect next gen smaller nm process?  Please advise

Thanks

My guess, and this is just a simpleton's guess here, late half of 2015 or even later. Spondoolie's is now reaping the rewards from pumping out all that hardware to the consumer's so they can get into the big data centers. I doubt they will make anything close to being a "home" miner at all. All rack mount products with massive power supplies on board and costing what a small car costs. Well, at least a used small car. I believe the only people that will be interested in Spondoolie's next hardware will be someone with at least $10-$15k and a place to run it.

if a spondoolies miner is stolen - can the serial number be used to track it down?

Undecided Did someone break into your place?

it appears that the guy in charge of colocating some of my units made a very strange series of decisions that involve the equipment of myself and several others being loaded into a uhaul without notice.

the whole things is so absurd sounding that I hope things can be sorted out as some sort of accident.

either way - curious what options are available in a situation like this

edit: got an update and seems like theres just feuding between others that my hardware got wrapped up in. should turn out okay - but it made me reconsider what options are available to protect hardware from theft. features like 'call home' when a system is moved to a different IP address could be nice, but possibly overcome by a simple factory reset or uSD recovery file

See my previous posts, you can use no-ip DDNS and then log on your no-ip account and see what's the unit's current IP address..
