Take a look at my findings. Im running 35 pcs SP20E now and all clocked to 600-650 Watt.

Can someone tell me about how many GH/s we would get from the SP20 if it was under clocked close to .51 watts per GH/s?

EDIT:  I found a good answer which ended up being .55 watts per GH/s for 1,350 GH/s.  That's pretty damn good!!!

Is it really 60+ db?
not under clocked see my settings above

after much testing and firmware down to fan speed of 20 the machine is 67 db.

with super underclock to 1025 gh and 477 watts.  fan can be set to 10 or 15 vis ssh.  It is still not a quiet miner.

I spend 746 watts and I am getting  1350 gh  or 0.55 watts per gh this allows the lowest fan setting  40..   give me an hour to find my db meter.

right now I love this piece of gear……….. 746 watts for 1350gh   out fucking standing.

this is current power use

I use an evga 1300g2 unit

Any idea what is the MAX load of the fan controller on a SP20?
3A Max, the stock fan use 1.75A and we have 6A fuse

Pinout:
1 - 12V
2 - GND
3 - TACHO (Fan output towards controller board for rotation indication)
4 - PWM (controller board output towards fan to set rotation speed)

If you mod the stock fan, you'll loose warranty of course.

Guy
Are you 100% on that? The 12V and Gnd listed are reversed from a standard fan pinout.

Thanks. For now I don't need to mod it, but I might a bit later. Warranty is also running out little by little so that's not of a big concern.

The hungriest fan I have around is 3A so it's OK. Another idea I've seen floating around is to use the PWM and TACHO only and power the fan from the PSU.

Disappointed in the cloud mining offer as it is too costly to buy into it.  I want to thank you for the sp20 miners I purchased they are nice.

Looks like BTC is in for a rough ride the next 2-4 months.

The  cloud  contract is  just not competitive. 449usd for 1 th and $1.90 a day  is just not working for me.

I have to hope for 0 diff growth and more then 1 year to pay out.

I can get an s-5 hosted in china 340usd for 1.15 th  and 1.45 a day to host.  And I actually own the s-5. I get to chose 3 pools plus I get to view my miner mining.

Is not there any way you can get closer to this for your cloud deal. you are miles apart from them.

I'm fully aware of Lee's group. We're working on ways to reduce maintenance fees, but it will take time.

Genesis is pretty in-transparent to me. Where to see the terms and conditions of the deal? I have to register before that?
Yes you do need to log into the website.  If you go back a few pages here on this thread the contract copy is  available.

$449 for 1 th and $1.90 a day to host it is correct.  They have the right to cancel contract if BTC get too low or Diff gets to high and the 1tb is not earning $1.90 a day. As I type 1 th earns $2.70 a day   so 2.70 - 1.90 =  $0.80 a day profit.

That is absolutely razor tight  it takes 561 days to break even.  that is with frozen diff and frozen btc price.

I love spondoolies sp20 they have been good to me price wise, but this deal does not work for me.

I did but 1 s-5 from the Chinese hosting group.  I paid 392 usd for 1 s-5 mines at 1150 gh  I got mining until feb 20 with that. I then pay 1.42 usd a day.  So my miner earns  3.11 a day.  First 25 days were paid in.  so 25 x 3.11 = 77.75 .  392 - 77.75 = 314.25 in the hole on feb 20.

from then on  3.11 - 1.42 =  1.69 a day profit   after 186 days  that 314.25 is paid off.

so 25 + 186= 211 days to break even    vs 561 days.   As much as I like spondoolies sp20 over the s-5 for mining in my home.

And I have 9 sp20  vs 1 s-5 I do not like the genesis deal on paper very much at all

Just received my first 15 SP20s and I cannot SSH login to them to edit parameters. I tried admin/admin. Does anyone know what the SSH login is Huh

Man these SP20's are solid pieces of gear.

Thank you. You know where to vote  Grin

votes are up to 43 just did a pdf of the results
Seems to slow down.

makes sense in that their are only so many readers of the threads that will get you to the poll/survey. only one vote each.

at least one thing is the poll's numbers are consistent.  I took 20 pdfs along the way  and the % ratios matched  pretty well this is a very good indication that the voters were legit.  on monday I will  show the final numbers with a few pdfs along the way.   say 5 voters in 15 voters in 25 voters in 35 voters in then  final result.

Your very first 2 questions should be is "Which manufacture's of products do you own? And for number 2 "Have you used their support?"

Yeah that sound's close to something good.

Is the SP10 going to be getting anymore firmware updates? Acquired a handful of them last week and looking at leveraging cgminer 4.8.0 for the extra noonce.. Thanks

4.8.0 is not an official Con's release, it was just requested by clients during specific offer by specific pool that is no longer relevant.
I didn't compile it, if someone wants to compile it for SP10 I can put guidelines here how to replace the cgminer binary.

sorry if this has been asked but couldn't find it .. is there any parameter that I can change to increase the hash speed?
below are my SP3x current settings:

Temp Front / Back T,B
27 °C / 69,72 °C
Socket Voltage
226/229 volt
Fan Speed
80
Start Voltage
0.655 / 0.655
Max Voltage
0.75
Max Watts
1290 / 1290

thx

For SP30/31 you can try to set Max Watts up to 1350, but go back if it becomes less stable.
For SP35 you can try and set it to 1650.

Just found this on the Basic Settings:

slow fans, medium rate
medium fans, high rate
turbo fans, highest rate

will do the trick!

someones dumping an SP20 farm in the states on ebay for 419$ a pop, free shipping.
sure, they're used, but......
they work I purchased 1 piece of it.  my offer was 409 he took it. I got 4% ebay discount net was 393
Ditto. Just picked one up for delivery ~Feb 3rd.
My Ebay unit came in this afternoon ahead of schedule, and have been having fun underclocking and getting it running quiet. Tomorrow, I dismantle it and work on an open-air setup with multiple fans.

A thought occurred to me: At $409, shipping included via EBay, I don't think there is a better miner deal around at present (Especially with Bitmain stubbornly maintaining a $370 USD price-point on the S5's). I should probably buy another three EBay SP20's to replace all my S3's and lone S2...
