Man, I love these things.

Running 2 SP20s off of a single EVGA 1300G2, fans at 10%, getting 1.18TH/sec from each for 1100 watts at the wall.

What settings are you using?

M

Settings are Fan Speed 10% via cli
Start Volts Unit 1: 0.62
Start Volts Unit 2: 0.62
Start Volts Unit 3: 0.62
Start Volts Unit 4: 0.62
Voltage Limit: 0.65
Max PSU Power Unit 1: 150
Max PSU Power Unit 2: 150
Max PSU Power Unit 3: 150
Max PSU Power Unit 4: 150

Unit one has been at 1176.37 GH/s for the last hour
Unit two has been at 1183.44 GH/s for the last hour

Welcome to the wonders of time travel. The future is still bright!

I've often found a simple reboot, once all settings are as you want them (but showing in the past) sorts the problem.

Hey guys, I ran a search through this thread but couldn't scratch up an answer.  One of my SP20s is hashing fine, but the time and date on the machine is not correct, and it breaks the graphs.  Has anyone dealt with this issue in the past?

Cheers.

yeah, i had this when it connected to BusyBox which is apparently a linux embedded systems toolbox (see events). hash line got broken and date changed to ~1-2 week ahead. Maybe miner somehow reaches into the future?    Tongue

It was definitely the NTP server in my case, the traffic was being blocked by my firewall.  I'm still digging around in the config to find where I fat-fingered it, but I'm sure it will sort.

Until then, this miner is livin' in the past!

Take 2...See if your NTP is blocked: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg10038846;topicseen#msg10038846
Put the wrong link in the first time Roll Eyes
It's on the same subnet as a working unit, and we don't block NTP traffic on the ASA.  If I ssh in and configure it manually will the GUI pick that up?

Cheers.

Nope, scratch that--I lied.  The ASA is blocking NTP requests.  I'll need to dig up the entry real quick!  Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Cheers.

One of my SP20 will not change the fan speed.
No matter what setting I put it always goes on max.
I even tried editing the "custom_mode" file, still wont change ?!

Bought two SP20, very happy with them !

I run the fan speed at 20% on both units. The problem is => I have one of the unit that is having a "Resonating Wave" sound at 20% speed. I know it's bad luck. Is anyone else experimented the same thing with a unit ? It's like going on a medium-high pitch every 2 second or so ... "wouuuuuuuuuuuuangggggg ....... wouuuuuuuuuuuuuuang" (<= hahahah nice try isn't Tongue)

I tried to use foam just to try to block the wave with no luck.

I can ALMOST get rid of it if i play with my hand and the airflow.

I guess if i could run it at 21% or 22% i might get rid of it.

This is soooooooooo unlucky Tongue

Thanks  !

i had one unit resonating like this. changing fan to 30 fixed it, paradoxically.

yeah i kind of think of increasing the fan speed but it's already to the limit for noise it created for my in-house mining. (i wanna keep my girlfriend). So i will try to set it to 30 and see how it goes.

thanks ! Smiley

EDIT: How much louder it is from 20 to 30 ? I'm not home at the moment, just curious Tongue

i would say not much, maybe 5%, but a different pitch (less whine).

thanks for the info Tongue

Set it to 24 in /etc/mg_custom_rate in fan using ssh.

i guess you meant mg_custom_mode ?

got it thanks Wink
