Given the above exchange, it might be useful to include the specific miner model (e.g. SP10, SP35, etc), early on to provide the right context for folks. As best I can tell this thread covers a whole wide gamut of Spondoolies products.

Yeah I swapped the PSUs out to working miners which are on different breakers and diagnosed the same result.

What alerted me to the issue was an internet outage.  All the miners slowed and got cold, then when then internet returned, I noticed a couple of miners not come up to speed.  When I got to site and checked it out I found that the PSUs were showing a red LED.

I tried the PSUs in other miners and found it didn't change.

I am pretty confident they have died a death. Cry

Hi Guys,

Last night I had multiple miners die.  The LED on the back of the PSUs just glows RED.

I have removed the PSUs and re seated them but this has made no difference.

I have tried the PSUs in different miners but this also made no difference.

Can anyone advise what the next step would normally be?  or how to obtain new PSUs?

Thanks guys.

Seems a coincidence that multiple PSUs would die simultaneously, especially the hard core PSUs you get in Spondoolies gear. Is there a chance that a breaker has tripped, a cable melted, PDU died etc etc which is causing this? Tried swapping the power cables (and so circuits) from a working unit with one of the dead units?

My apologies if I derailed this at all. The E-mail I got didn't indicate which thread the post was from, so it's quite possible I jumped to the wrong conclusion about the thread based on the content.

Was there something I missed in the E-mail, or is that just the way it is? I assume the "reason" was just boilerplate?

My apologies again for mixing up the threads.

No problem.

Is this threat going to be about how we all use this forum from now on, or are we going to see some new developments?

It seems that the page numbers of this thread is shrinking.
We don't remove messages.

If a user gets nuked their posts will disappear, and so large threads like this one can shrink when not so active.
That's a reasonable explanation.

I'll see if there's an existing thread in Meta and give that a nudge - or make a new one.  I'm sure I have a deleted post notification somewhere myself to get details Smiley

The reason is boilerplate - starters of self-moderated threads don't get to specify a 'reason' when deleting a post.  Rest assured that it was merely removed for clean-up, and you can check out the archive link if you need context for your information Smiley

My apologies again for mixing up the threads.
No problem on my end - I'm sure SP-T had to do a headscratch for a bit, especially as they've been noticing posts disappearing in this thread (which might be users themselves, users getting deleted outright, etc.  Unfortunately, this doesn't necessarily show up in the modlog*), but I think: no harm done.

* I might grab this thread periodically and see which posts seem to disappear over time if this is some sort of on-going process.  I doubt it's nefarious - the last time I compared it wasn't anything alarming (users deleting their own posts from ages ago - why? no clue).

Most of you are aware about our plans to merge with Spondoolies, in addition we are currently acquiring used Spondoolies machines specifically larger farms 50TH and up. If you have larger farms of Spondoolies, let us know we'd love to make you an offer.

While this may be true, I can plainly state that I had a post from a month ago or more, deleted yesterday. I considered it completely on topic as it related to codenames (Rockerbox, Hammer, etc) and product names. I got a polite, cogent response and all was well.
That wasn't this thread - if I'm guessing correctly.  That was probably in my StickMiners thread.
( It doesn't point out which thread your post was in?  If so, that should be reported in Meta / suggestions for the new forum )

Here's the posts: https://archive.is/kSk6E#msg10838894

Why it just got deleted is unknown to me. I've had about 4 "random" posts deleted, with no obvious explanation.
I just try to keep that thread tidy, which means the occasional clean-up.  It's somewhere in the first post, I always make sure that if there's significant conversation that there's an archive copy, and I warn ahead of time (besides the first post)...

and again earlier today Smiley

So just to emphasize: This has nothing to do with this thread, or Spondoolies-Tech (the user) Smiley

For the curious, the question was about Spondoolies-Tech's chip (code) names, and where 'Hammer' fit into the line-up.
Quote from: Bicknellski
SP10 Hammer
SP20 SP30 SP31 SP35 Rockerbox
SPXX New chip don't know the code name.

PickAxe
And then there's Mattock (but perhaps that was their flirt with Scrypt)

So to put things back on rails, maybe Spondoolies-Tech could actually reveal the (code) name of their new chip? Wink

The E-mail in part contained:

"A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave."

I assume you aren't asking me to leave?  Smiley

Multiple folks at Spondoolies Tech use this account?

Is there an admin that feels compelled to shrink threads for some specific reason?
We didn't delete those posts. Does it says in your inbox that the owner of the thread deleted them, or that a moderator deleted them ?

"A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator"

or

"A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic"

?

One of my Sp20s is not booting anymore.

I switched the watts to 155 per ASIC and now it doesnt even give a livingsign. I clicked restart mining and it just shows up "its not available". Switched it off and now its not starting. Can anybody help me? Not even the fans are turning on. I already checked the PSU, which is fine.

Try re-flashing the SD card with a fresh firmware.

Is there a Link for a how-to? As said, the miner doesnt even boot up. Will I be able to flash it then?
