4 hrs after power up a second chip began hashing.

5.5 hrs after that a 3rd has come online.

What settings are you running? Someone else reported similar when starting voltage was too low, the chips would get stuck in a loop trying to initialise.

EVERYthing else was eventually sorted out to my satisfaction.

it took a while and was not as smooth as i'd have liked but must be honest and I appreciate the eventualities.

as for this fk - who knows, i cant even work up the will to open her yet - i can hear it in the other room winding up & down, up & down...

i have better things to do.

Ah..power the beast down for a bit and then give her an enema of compressed air  Tongue Hopefully she flips over and returns to service!

After a 2 week SP20 shutdown with NO movement, NO manipulation AT ALL. merely switched off at the plug.

only 1 chip is hashing.

there is no visible damage to the headers, so i am stumped.

will open her up today but hardly care at all - just saying these rigs arent all that great.

non-believers, feel free to sling 'mud'

I was just wondering what ever happened with your situation..sorry to hear your problems continue  Sad

I think you might have got a dud.  I'm have 2 SP20's that have worked perfect since I got them.  I have been running underclocked over past few months though.  So they might have a "easier" life then some out there.

I am not sure what it would be either from your description.  I hope it is something easy like a loose cable/board.  Please update us once you hopefully find out what is causing it.

Finally, my Mycelium Entropy is on it's way Smiley
when receive new SP-100 miner,It is most important info in this part of the forum.everything else is totally irrelevant
You're not interested in a mining phone or a mining light bulb ?  Grin

I am waiting for the SPTech Lava Lamp.

I'm waiting for the SPTech mining solar panels  Cheesy

Heat and solar panels do not mix well... but SPtecH might find a fix.

Chances are if they ever did it they would get it from another company.  Chances are they would not spend the money to open a entirely different company.

I don't know I see a lot of possible problems, especially if normal people are installing the solar panels.  So that means extra money on support aswell.

As many suppliers as there is today for just about anything you wouldn't think it would be that much trouble. However it seems that it is so application specific there is no need for anyone to supply it to the public. I wasn't planing on salvaging anything to get a fix, and the time to do it all.

Anyway, I do appreciate the replies. It looks like I need to get more aggressive and try to clean out the melted plastic with more than a paper clip.

I believe I have some of these on hand.  If you want, and I still have some, I can dig one out for you.

If you don't mind, shoot me a PM if you have one.  Thanks.

I am still open for trade on this unit. 1:1 shipped in US.

I'd just like to say thank you to all that gave me suggestions on where to find/salvage a 90 female PCI-e connector helping me fix this. A HUGE THANK YOU to dropt for sending me a fresh replacement that has made this unit hash as it once was. It's people like him and anyone that goes out of their way to lending a helping hand to other members that really make this a great community.

Cheers!

Nice!

I just cut off the connector and soldered wires directly to mine that was like that lol

Thank you for sharing end result.  Sadly a lot don't share end result.  But it's great to hear you got it going again!   Cool story that it was not as bad as I thought.

Best of luck mining!
