Even though we plan to start offering ticketing solutions to our clients in the future, we will have plenty of time to make a correct decision.

that's good and gives you some room to make the right decision as you said. If Ethereum solves the scalability problems it would be even better. Not only for you, but for any dApp running on Ethereum.
