what an interesting projects
do you have any bounties available for articles?
In fact, devs have not announced about bounties for articles, at least by now. If you interested and don't mind about payments, please make your article and publish it in steemit to support STRAKS project.

If he doesn't have a stake in the project yet then he is unlikely to put effort into it. Maybe the devs should really take a second to provide a little bounty plan, at least for people who want to produce content that benefits us all. Would like it.

In my mind there is two ways author can approach writing his articles. He could go about bounty's and write promotional articles. Ie. getting paid to write. These type of articles are almost always biased.

The other way is that author should write objective articles about projects he chooses and then in some way get paid from readers. Ie. get paid because quality of content. I am always trying to find these types of authors and if they are good I have no problem tipping them something. It is often the case that these types of authors get influential and after praising a project it immediately jumps 20-30% with the price. At this point author can make shitloads of money by investing before releasing the article. It could be seen as conflict of interests but there is no way anybody can know about this so I believe most of them is doing it in this way.

Might be true but only for very influential people. There are tons of articles but hardly any of them moved a project's price by 20-30% as you said. That counts for people with large followings only and even then 20-30% might only apply to small market cap projects. Giving out bounties to people who like the project and want to produce favorable content should be part of a good marketing strategy.

What kind of numbers are the Nvidia cards getting on Lyra2rev2. I'm finding it hard to find any solid numbers.  I'm tempted to buy some more RX Vegas since they seem to hash a lot better with the new miner release.  I got a few vega 56s,64s and FEs.

Vega 56 -  ~57Mh/s
Vega 64 -  ~60Mh/s
Vega FE -  ~65MH/s

It suddenly became alot harder choosing between Nvidia and AMD.

Would be awesome if some of you guys with 1070,1070tis,1080 and 1080tis could give me some info since I don't have any atm 😭
How about electricity cost of one card each month when mining this algorithm?

I've been testing them for a little while, might be able to tune them better but haven't had the time. A vega 56 @ ~51Mh/s draws ~155W out the wall. Vega 64 @ 54Mh/s draws ~162W and a Vega FE @60Mh/s draws around 180W out the wall. All these readings were taken with a wattmeter, not software.

Anyone have any numbers for the  GTX 10 series. If the Nvidias are more efficient I'll go that route but there doesn't seem to be much info on anything :/

I have backed up my wallet. How to use the back up file on different computer? Sorry for the very basic question, but this is my first time. Thanks.

As Boriss said - Install Straks and then replace wallet.dat on your straks directory (C:\Users\Your_username\AppData\Roaming\straks). Your wallet should sync.

GTX 1080 = 50 Mh/s, 75% power limit, +110core, -1000mhz memory

Simple,

On your new computer install Straks wallet.
After that just copy your saved wallet to the same location where your Straks wallet is installed, probably same location as it was on your old computer.

Start your Straks wallet and wait for sync process to complete, then you should see your balance and old transaction history.

I do not see news for February yet was not?
What for the silence.
Swap process works. Thanks.

Currently weekly updates aren't so necessary and they are be-weekly. Next annnouncements should be 12th February, on Monday.

Hello. Can anyone help me with how to open up strak wallet file? I am using a new computer and trying to open my strak wallet file but it is not loading the wallet. Instead it is opening up an empty new wallet.
Did you copy your wallet.dat file to:
C:\Users\Your_username\AppData\Roaming\straks
?
If yes and coins aren't still visible after sync contact with dev on Discord. Take invitation: https://discord.gg/jfsPs

Articles for bounty!?! Wtf! so it's a bribe for an false review ...

well, maybe your not familiarized but there are several and several bounty campaigns here on bitcointalk even for huge projects and ICOs.

Sometimes you have to pay for good article. And bounties are win-win for author and dev.
Nothing new, nothing strange.

If there is no bounty of course everyone will not want, they also do not want loss of time, energy, and mind.

Article is just that - Technical facts mixed with author opinion,  everyone for himself must decide about decision what to do after he reads up the whole story.
If someone wants just facts, he can read roadmap and whitepapers.

If there are not any opinions in the article that it's not an article.
Facts without personal opinion is called NEWS.

Looks like we see bottom of STAK at 35k sats. Now manages to hold at 41.5k sats despite BTC drop.

Devs are working on it. HitBTC team makes currently technical maintenance and improvements (see their Twitter). I think it's the most important, then they will work with Straks team. there are few others coins waiting to be listed on HitBTC. I think they will inform us immediately if Straks will be listed.
It would be nice if they confirm the listing at the same time as the biweekly announcement.
