NEW MERCHANTS/MARKETS

Integration and testing for the India merchants/vouchers is finalized and ready to go live, all that remains is the confirmation of funds received by our Indian partner. That should not take longer than a few days. Integration and testing for Turkey and WeGift is now ongoing.

Busha

Another milestone reached! Busha is now live in Nigeria with local Fiat pairing for buying RMT. The RMT/XLM swapping will be available coming Monday. Busha Pro (the more advanced trading platform) is almost ready, order book becoming available in approx. 2 weeks.

SureRemit App updates

This week we worked on new security features and performance improvement. We are also working on internal code restructuring which is delaying the new update (In-app purchasing/wallet funding of RMT and PIN login) to go live. We aim to complete our internal code restructuring in the coming week.

EXCHANGES

Also mentioned in our update a few weeks ago, talks are ongoing with several exchanges. We’re selecting law firms to provide us with any required documentation (e.g. Legal Opinion). We’ll update accordingly.

MARKETING

Once the merchants/vouchers for India, Turkey and WeGift are available, intensified marketing will kick in. We discussed with representatives of Stellar and they will support our marketing efforts. We’re currently working with a few authors to publish in-depth articles on SureRemit, in the meantime Blockchain SEO mentioned SureRemit in their ‘The Ultimate Guide to Small Market Cap Cryptocurrencies (Part 5)’ (not initiated by us) please find the article here.

NEW MERCHANTS/MARKETS

Integration and testing of the first batch of Indian vouchers were successful and we’ll go live when the financials are settled (depending on administration processes, few days to approx. 1 week). We finalized the onboarding of a second partner for the Indian market, testing & integration of the vouchers will commence next week. Once the vouchers of both our Indian partners are fully available, we’ll push the vouchers for Turkey and WeGift.

Locking of RMT Issuing Account

We have partially locked the RMT Issuing Account.

A ‘Partial Lock’, means that the account is not able to create more tokens, make payments, trade, change settings or issue assets. Due to this partial lock, we now have some control over the RMT token. An example is that when someone’s wallet is compromised we can freeze any potentially stolen tokens and try to recover them. Also, we can authorize trust lines and use BUMP_SEQUENCE operations for this account.

SureRemit App updates

The updates for In-app purchasing/wallet funding of RMT and PIN login are ready. We decided to wait with these updates as we are refactoring/restructuring parts of our source code. The updates are pushed next week.

MARKETING

We’re working with 2 acknowledged crypto authors to write/publish articles about SureRemit. When ready, the articles will be posted on various crypto (news) platforms. App user related marketing intensifies when the vouchers are available for the respective countries.

The project is being run by the top most professionals with massive strides being made on a regular basis. NEW MERCHANTS/MARKETS

We’ve made progress integrating the vouchers for India, Turkey and the voucher portfolio of WeGift which includes USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and more. For India, we expect to have the first batch of vouchers/merchants (approx. 80 mainstream merchants) to be available next week.

EXCHANGES

As stated in our 2019 Roadmap, we’re adding another exchange in Q1. Currently, we’re reviewing which exchanges suit our needs best and also have reasonable listing fees/conditions. More exchange listings provide exposure and visibility in the crypto landscape which also supports our endeavor. Ultimately, our success and upwards RMT price development is fundamentally supported through users of our services. The recently established global partnerships and hundreds of new merchants being added to our platform provide the necessary ‘inventory’ to achieve this. We’re very excited about the current developments and will update you on new exchange listings once we can.

Busha

The Busha team made excellent progress! Apps are now awaiting app store approvals. We’ll be pooling beta users in Nigeria (for fiat transactions). The full trading engine is expected to be ready in a few weeks. RMT holders will have additional benefits using Busha, an example is Market Maker rewards paid in RMT. Other benefits will be disclosed once Busha is fully operational.

SureRemit established cooperation with Blockfolio! We will start using Blockfolio’s Signal feature to update on our progress, new merchants and other relevant developments.

We’re very pleased to announce that SureRemit has now signed a partnership with WeGift, a global gift card/voucher aggregator who also signed a partnership with Coinbase. Through this partnership we can efficiently provide our services globally, making non-cash remittances more accessible to people who need it the most. The integration process starts the coming week and we’ll cooperate with WeGift in our marketing efforts, official announcements once the vouchers are available.

In addition to our newly signed partner, we’re discussing with another potential partner to even further increase the voucher portfolio for India. Once the vouchers are live, we’ll kickstart the marketing via digital marketing, attendance at summits and reaching out to specific communities who can use our services.

We’re negotiating the contract and expect to reach an agreement by next week. Once signed the tech teams will commence with integrating the vouchers for the respective countries.

The main update regarding the new flow of wallet creation was pushed and we solved some bugs. Receiving and sending RMT in/out of the app using the MEMO_TEXT works fine now, if some of you encounter any issues, please let us know. Due to last update we’re running some more tests before pushing the other updates (e.g. RMT wallet funding/stocking up with debit/credit card, PIN login/authorization and more).

Testing going on at Busha is continuing and includes testing the Busha App, for what we have seen it looks very good. We’ll update when we can.

REFLECTING ON 2018
What a year it has been. Token distribution, market ‘crashing’, testing the SureRemit beta app, token swap, dealing with a 2 token economy (old and new RMT), launching the SureRemit app, development of Busha, Bounty Program, LATOKEN listing, entering new markets….just to name a few! Great achievements but we also had to deal with lots of hurdles, and honestly, it was quite tough sometimes. Together we persevered and have overcome them all. We have said it before; our achievements are your achievements too. The support of the SureRemit community is overwhelming, so many people have reached out (and still do) offering their help to actively support our endeavor, your support makes the difference during challenging moments, we are extremely grateful and want to thank you all for doing so. Together we have achieved amazing results and we will continue building SureRemit to become the leading global non-cash remittance provider! We’re so much looking forward to 2019, entering new markets, Busha going live, kickstarting marketing for the various markets, cool app updates, more exchange listings, team expansion, opening an office in Europe and many, many more. It’s going to be another exciting year, onwards and upwards!

The SureRemit team has expanded! We hired Saras Choudhary to represent us in India. He already established contact with various voucher aggregators and we’re reviewing the voucher/gift card portfolios and agreements. More updates will follow!

Contact is established with an aggregator that services many European countries, USA and Canada. Currently, in the negotiation phase, we’ll update accordingly.

SureRemit App updates
We have successfully implemented the new flow of in-App wallet transactions where every user wallet will be identified by a MEMO ID/TEXT instead of the previous unique Stellar/RMT address being created for each new user. This feature allows users to send out RMT to addresses that require MEMO ID/TEXT information. The team is currently testing the other major updates (RMT wallet funding/stocking up with a debit/credit card, PIN login/authorization and more) we expect to push them all in the coming week.

About SureRemit
The SureRemit token (RMT) is a utility token built on the Stellar Network, designed to be used by immigrants and customers within the SureRemit platform. Following this standard, SureRemit tokens are easily transferable between users and can be supported by wallets and exchanges that already support Stellar lumens.

Within the SureRemit ecosystem, the Remit token (RMT) will be used internally to access vouchers and pay bills for targeted remittances. Immigrants and customers, in general, will be able to select the country they want to send value, search for the right merchant in a category and create an order for a voucher to be delivered to the recipient via SMS or Email, and pay in RMT token. Once the order is received, the token will be frozen until the voucher is sent from the SureRemit system. When that happens, the token is transferred to SureRemit. In the future, we hope to activate the direct acceptance of RMT tokens by the ecosystem partners, which they can, in turn, converted to Fiat, this will make the token transfer happen directly to merchant’s balance.
