Deleted everything except wallet.  Downloaded zip and ran after putting .conf file in roaming folder.  Started right up and began syncing right away...

... and stuck at 1663 of 1668.

Did I fork something up?

Delete all database files and peers (do not delete wallet.dat),
create conf file with:
Code:
addnode=76.25.201.234:8369
addnode=67.253.247.113:8369
addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369

This appears to be the answer, worked for me after multiple tries with various posted conf file contents. THis list of nodes fixed it, for me at least...

Okay, this finally worked for me.

Only problem now is closing and restarting the wallet.  On restart, it's in the system tray but seems frozen or the GUI isn't loading.  Any ideas?  Restarting system doesn't help.  I have to delete the files (except .conf and wallet.dat) in the roaming folder to get it to load right.  Which file specifically is causing this?

Can someone give the commands to type into the console to get the wallet to sync? I saw them last night in this tread but can't find em now. Downloaded the new wallet and it won't sync

works. as long as its not forked by some hacker peers Wink

Haha, damn! I am still having trouble. I got to block 1663 with previous nodes. Took the above suggestion. No sitting unsynced and its not moving at all... very frustrating! (coin, not people trying to help)

Exit out of the wallet for a few minutes... Thats all it took for me. Servers are overloaded right now

Couple of pools and miners have not updated to the latest code.. Unless you know where they live not a hell of lot we can do about it..
Should be sorted as soon as they update.

@ALL, just be patient, take it easy, we should give DEV time to fix the issues, this is a very new coin with fantastic features, it's very normal to have some issues.

I think they should get someone like mindfox to take over development of this coin.

I'm sure if they would apply or ask. Not like you can just force someone to help. But they got 3 additional devs so far helping out. And this is open sourced so anyone could help.

I had to do a bunch of steps about 5 times to make it work. Totally absurd to have to, but here's what I did:

1: BACK UP WALLET.DAT
2: Delete the everything in Syscoin data folder (Linux: ~/.syscoin | Windows: %APPROAM%/Syscoin)
3: Enter node list into new syscoin.conf
4: Put wallet.dat back
5: Start daemon

5 goes and it eventually synced. Blockchain is still a bit laggy, but things are now ok.

tip for windows users.

1. download the zip version from the OP
2. unzip
3. inside the folder is a file called "syscoin.conf"

6. delete everything from C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Syscoin except wallet.dat and syscoin.conf
7. start the wallet
8. enjoy

this is what i did and works

@DEV, can you add the syscoin.info into the zip file?
