Will there be a difference between the beta release and the real release that is coming soon? Also are there already contacts with big names like E-bay, Amazon etc?  Smiley

I think if Syscoin is a decentralized competitor of E-Bay, Amazon and AliExpress, you should not close deals with them but with the companies using those platforms.

Imagine what happens to Syscoin when only a fraction of the Chinese, Hong Kong and Korean market moves over to it.

And maybe Syscoin could integrate Ribbit Rewards too? That way you would have a rewarding system for customers returning to the platform.

I think a lot of people don't see how big this could get.

Project definitely has a LOT of potential, also the team is very professional and very skilled. Great long-term investment. However, it still needs to cross the line from having a great platform with a lot of potential to becoming adopted by the masses, if this does happen at some point in the future a billion dollar market cap or more is possible.  Smiley

Agreed. These guys have endured a ton of BS and crap yet, they continue to deliver a competitive product. I too see a bright future for Syscoin...

http://http//syscoin.org/syscoin-2-0-final-coin-parameters/ isn't working from the opening post.
I wanted to read it but the website didn't work, But I have a question When I have 15000 syscoin how much do I have left after the Change?
And Am I right to think the price will go up Because the supply will be less so automatically the price goes up?
where did you see that link its bad

Current market cap is around 3.5 million, you think a market cap in the range of 10-30 million is reasonable when Sys 2.0 is released? Compared to other projects I think it's reasonable. I hope this thing goes mainstream fast.

Syscoin- Changing the way people do business.
is this not the cost for the sys Huh

The miners have also cost to mine or not?

Yes this is the cost to the team for setting up the pool- setting up a merged mining pool for multiple coins is neither cheap nor simple. There will be a fee for miners to support the hosting costs of the pool.

Syscoin is on Microsoft Azure??  Shocked Why is the market cap still so low? When can we expect new updates?  Smiley I am very impressed by this team, definitely one of the best teams in crypto as far as I am concerned.  Wink

That is good !!!

But this is negatief for me:
On another note we want to make sure that Syscoin is mineable easily and immediately upon 2.0 launch. The team will be standing up and hosting a merged mining pool, at the moment it will be SYS/BTC merged mined but we can add other SHA256 coins as well. There will likely be a 1-3% fee which will go entirely toward hosting and maintenance costs- running a merge mine pool is not cheap it turns out. The setup costs are 3BTC, and monthly hosting is $160/mo.

Some very kind community members in slack volunteered to donate to this effort, if you're a miner and/or a community member who would like to support the 2.0 network/launch, please send BTC to this address, designated for the pool operating fund:

If we recieve enough donations we'll remove the fee altogether!

Hmm. First, your new plan seems marginally better than your old plan. However, changing the fundamental characteristics of the distribution at all just seems shifty.

You seem to contradict yourself. If you really believe this is a launch of a new coin (with the old coin maybe still continuing) then why are you complaining about changing the fundamental characteristics? Changing of something which continues to exist unchanged? Stick to your sys1 coins if you want to keep the same "fundamental characteristics". You (same as everybody else) are free to go on with the development of the old sys blockchain.

In my opinion it is a good thing if developers
1) own a stake in their coin
2) have money enough for continued development

The transition from Sys 1 to Sys 2 is big enough to justify some changes in the design.

Well said!

Another comments:

1. Conversion 1:1 : Great!
2. Changing the name: I would be careful with this
3. Could they have started a new coin with a completely new distribution? No and they know it well. The reputation matters.

I agree on #2, atm we are planning on updating the logo but not changing the name although we did consider it and discuss some options.

You're correct on #3 as well- and we wouldn't want to leave sys1 investors high and dry like that, they're support is what help makes all this possible so we did our best to transition their value into this new token without sacrificing the long term vision by treating the old design as rigid and unchangeable.
