This is very nice indeed, a few more days and then we can finally see something happening. Syscoin is still remaining stable even as BTC continually rise in value. Good Job to all the Syscoin Team.

We'll have a post w full details up prior to launch but pretty much you just run the new wallet over the old wallet. We will have full instructions including a video walkthrough posted prior to launch.

I understand that slack is way better for real time discussions, but the coin was ANN here and info should still be posted on here. Not everyone uses slack and a quick read on here should be enough to keep people upto date.

Best comparison considering current coin count is MAID with ~ 450 million coins.

It seems coinmarketcap.com did not update the coin count for a while. Block explorer says SYS current count is 458,265,316 SYS.

Re the forthcoming 1:1 coin conversion following the launch of Syscoin 2.0, the only info I can find re how that's going to work is this extract from the FAQ section of http://merchant.syscoin.org/

We're in the final rounds of internal testing now. You'll be able to test drive the Syscoin 2.0 public beta starting at the end of February 2016. The Syscoin 2.0 official launch is planned for March 2016.

What will happen to current Syscoins?

All current Syscoin balances on the 1.x network as of the hard fork block (TBD!) will be valid on the 2.0 network. The exact hard fork block will be announced once 2.0 testing is complete, the target being a block height roughly a 24-48hrs prior to launch.

Converting your Syscoin after launch is easy. We use the blockchain! Simply backup your Syscoin 1.x wallet.dat and then run the Syscoin 2.0 wallet. The conversion is automatic. You can also import your private keys from your Syscoin 1.x wallet if you prefer. There is no time limit on the conversion.
