Why would they do that? Do you see this coin being valued anywhere near what SDC is valued at today? If so when do you see it reaching that point?

Hey Syscoiners!

We're already reaching out to pools to be ready for the new client in coming weeks. If you know a pool that is mining Syscoin, please get them to reach out to me at [email protected] if they have not already done so(or PM here).

Limited number of buyers is a temporary problem. Step by step the number of SYS marketplace will grow.

But how can we resolve the high conversion (fiat/crypto and vise versa) fees problem???

That is a problem on both ends, the buyers need to exchange fiat to BTC then BTC to SYS, same with the seller, converting it back to fait.  We have discussed BTC on the radio show a couple times (the show is not crypto related) and people just don't understand BTC or find it way to hard to deal with.

Take some of the dark markets, not only do you need BTC, TOR but PGP encryption.  Now take the average computer user, it's far easier to just deal with E-Bay.  Also E-Bay/paypal offers buyer and seller protection.  Paypal is already working on accepting BTC and many E-Bay sellers will take BTC at current exchange rates.

But all in all, the average user just doesn't want to deal with the hassle of getting BTC.
If u have read my posts you would know you dont really need to sell for crypto.. you can be a regulated business and dealing in only fiat yet enjoy benefits of using syscoin to sync up offers on a global marketplace (like a decentralized database).. the value add of which will be sync tools to help keep the site synced up with the market by paying fees for updates.. this will allow everyone to enjoy blockchain without having to switch

OK, so how is a buyer going to send $$$?  Then you are back to using Paypal again.  Unless you are set up to accept CCs then you have to go through PP or some other service to accept Fiat.

I'm not FUDding the system at all, just trying to understand how it works (being a 15 year EBay seller).

There will be payment gateways on standard cart's that allow you to accept syscoin or something like bitshares BitUSD which is analogous to USD.. however using syscoin you will be able to track your payments aswell as the offers so you get the full benefits. If you wish to just use the sync tool it will allow to "backup" and "globalize" or "decentralize" your offers on your website onto the blockchain so that other websites can sync with them with the same sync tools installed (just a plugin for the cart system again). Now with just the sync tool it doesnt matter WHICH payment gateway you use.. paypal, CC, syscoin, bitcoin, bitshares... you can still leverage the blockchain technology.

To kinda get an idea of what im talking about for the crypto payment gateway concept, I did this website for a client http://cryptosmith.info... which I created a prestashop payment gateway for bitshares.. and you can use your  USD/CNY/EUR to pay or even pay via GOLD/SILVER, you pay from within bitshares which you would send BitUSD,BitCNY etc... which is 1:1 with its fiat counterpart.. gold/silver being in OZ. Now you add the ability to track these offers on the blockchain and youc an globalize these offers and also decentralize your website with one click backup/restores shoudl you move your server... just need syscoin keys and your data is available. Ontop of that a syscoin payment gateway will be available to fully harness syscoin's blockchain by tracking payments to your offers and allowing a restore of these to your website.

I already have a headstart on all of the shopping cart plugins http://github.com/sidhujag

Fact is PAYMENT and marketplace OFFERS are two distinct concepts that need to be seperated for maximal benefit and they can work in harmony to try to achieve network effect. Syscoin investors care about PAYMENTS because it increases demand and puts buying pressure on the unit, but the OFFERS do so in a different way through offer subsidy fee's which are paid by the user of the service. If people like the services of syscoin they may start to use it as a PAYMENT mechanism but we shouldnt force them to do so, it should be because it has intrinsic value that people see the need to use it as a payment mechanism.. the service will help convert service users into people who transact syscoin for things other than marketplace activities. We put incentives in place to aid them in converting to use it for PAYMENTS by offering payment tracking of OFFERS through offeraccept's etc...

Then we have Syscoin Certificates which have a whole 'nother gameplan.. and we plan to tackle real world usage of them after we complete marketplace stuff.

Anyone want to see Syscoin integrated into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, so that it can be won by people playing CSGO and CS 1.6 on our servers?
