This microservice will have average to high load due to number of transactions, and requires good scaling capabilities. For this reason we will utilize data sharding, slicing, and denormalization when we design and configure the DB. Also, SQL based solution is chosen due to reporting capabilities requirement and requirement to integrate with analytical tools.
