Hi, first of all, thanks for WIN version.

I am trying to run miner with custom settings "D" because otherwise i get error during startup due to integrated GPU at position 0..therefore i tried with "-d 1,2,3,4,5,6" but so far is not working.

>           Team Red Miner version 0.3.2
> [2018-09-30 11:39:44] Failed to initialize device number 0. #d0 in this case only to show up the error, this device is not used for mining
> [2018-09-30 11:39:44] Device number ## is out of range.

FIXED: With "--platform=1 -d 0,1,2,3,4,5"

Setup: Adrenaline 18.4.1/Win10 1803.

Hashrate: Rigs are all properly set up to be stable and have lower possible power draw(rougly clck 1170Mhz/2100Mhz). 6GPU rigs
Vega56 - On GRAFT(MoneroV7) doing cca 11,1KHs on Lyra2Z cca 35,2Mhs
RX570 4G - On GRAFT(MoneroV7) doing cca 5,32KHs on Lyra2Z cca 15,1Mhs
RX580 4G - On GRAFT(MoneroV7) doing cca 5,35KHs on Lyra2Z cca ???Mhs  - This one little b* is not willing to cooperate (still runs old setup) but i guess the results will be very similar to RX 570 4GB - Will try 580 8G later next week or so)

Thanks a lot for that!

New version v0.3.2 posted!

This version adds support for windows and the linux amdgpu-pro/PAL drivers for Vega!
Unfortunately we had to temporarily remove ROCm support to get this release out in a timely manner.  We will be adding ROCm support back in the future.

There are no new features other than supporting new platforms/drivers, so existing users do not need to update if they're already happy with their setups.

Lyra2Z Windows 18.6.1 Driver

Vega 56 (64BIOS)
(quick Test) 1600MHz Core & 950MHz Mem = 6MHs
(stable MoneroV7 settings) 1440MHz Core & 1090MHz Mem = 5,5MHs

We’re working on a win version as well as supporting Vega cards under amdgpu-pro. Most probably released within 1-2 days.

Does this miner work on windows? I have no idea how to start it or setup. I have wallet and pool though. Any help would be appreciated.

well it all depends on how much W can your cards get. for example i have rx 570 where is limit 117W and despite i set anything, 900+mV it all the time hit the wall 117W and start lowering Mhz. so in this case maximum for me is 2,7xx for lyra2z (havent tried phi2). however when my card has higher W limit, im able to reach 3,1xxMhz with rx570.

Which card model have lyra2z 3.1 Mhz/s hashrate  ? I have RX 570 4Gb,  Sapphire, Aorus, Expression, KFX all max = 2.85

I try install HiveOS, Make Gin wallet, connect to pool my 5x RX 570, and BOOM in my  750W ATX Supply...   Shocked Shocked
I change Supply, disconect 2 GPU , restart lyra2z GIN, on the wall 580W with 3 GPU..... i must change in settings core V to 950mV, then is 400W with 3 GPU....
I dont know how is this possible.... all GPU have bios with 950mV core..... be careful with HIVEOS and lyra2Z...

PHI2 have 4.3 Mhz - RX 570 4Gb, ( PC, 3X GPU = 410W in the wall )

Just in case you haven't realised, there's a new software that's being distributed by the user @svedr, (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5039398) it works for AMD as well, and is 20% faster, which means your RX 570 can hit 3.1 MH/s with your own software. if you forgot that you wrote it (or at least the thread that you started), it's build version is 0.01

I believe it is running very similar code to this MountainMiner which you tried probably 2 weeks ago.

(hint: you might got your account hijacked and your hijacker is using the same credentials as you are now still....)

Back on topic, you are using 5xx RX 570 with a 750W PSU.....that's brave and kaBOOM is well...at least lucky nobody was hurt.

I run 580 and 470 cards with 900 mv only. Core 1167 and mem 2000
BTW for Lyra2Z you can keep memory with lower values because algo don't use memory only GPU core

Stop talking nonsense. HiveOS and Lyra2z work perfect, I have it running for days without any issues with rellay low power usage and temp.
You must be doing it wrong. Btw aren't you the guy who claims to make mining SW? Ahem.

Has anyone tried phi2 with rx560, I'm running hiveos and miner wouldn't start keep getting waiting for teamredminer to cool down only on my rig with a few 560s in it
Works with 18.10 drivers
That was the issue I burned a older hiveos with 18.10 drivers and it's running

Same issues here, experimenting with RX470 Sapphire mining editions (4gb/8gb) trying to get best speed/power. But there are lots of sudden failures.

Stock Ethereum settings fail after 1-2 hours running (few cards each rig):
1110 Core
2050 Mem
1 Core state
850 Core voltage

With these settings they run a little bit longer, still testing:
1130 Core
1975 Mem
3 Core state
875 Core volatge

Hashrate on both settings is 2.767 to 2.813. Power usage is between 70-75w

Please let me know if you have better settings or mod's for this algo. Profit seems good.
Try to run HWINFO64 in parallel and monitor if you're getting memory errors. If so throttle your mem overclock back until these errors stop appearing.

Assuming you've got lower mem timings on your 470's bios, even 1975 is pretty high clocks for some mem brands (my Elpida for example will not do anything above 1950).

Hello,

I am expirimenting with this software but i cannot get it to run stable in HiveOS.

So for starters , can i use the same clock settings as for ethereum and same undervolt settings? Of not, what settings are needed for the X70 AMD?

Is there a way to lower the intensity a bit so the miner will keep running stable?

What rate are you guys getting from RX 570? I get (with OC etc) 4.4M phi2 and 2.7 lyra2z, but I use legacy opencl and not rocm because I have old CPU and motherboard that do not support GEN3 PCIE as required by rocm

Thank You! For example right now you would have to compile your miner against the 18.10 driver even though 18.30 is the functional one. There is directions here for XMRig in case they would help -- https://github.com/xmrminer01102018/VegaToolsNConfigs/blob/master/VegaUbuntuGuide

todxx - good to see you back on the forum.

Looking forward to seeing what magic you can do to improve performance on my Vega56 cards.  I've been using tdxminer 0.2.2.2 since release I think!

Thanks.

Thanks ajmulh!  Glad to see you're enjoying the miner Smiley

You can do solo extraction support on these algorithms. I think you will have so many more fans.
I have been searching for a long time than you can get a solo for Lyra2z. but only cpuminer-opt-3.8.8.1 for today could connect directly to the wallet!
I'm afraid solo support isn't on our todo list right now.  You could setup your own pool for solo mining though.  There are a number of open source pool software packages available out there (e.g. yiimp, nomp, node-stratum-pool, etc).

API support please...
It's on the todo list, we'll get there in time.  Right now we are focusing on getting a windows release out and adding algos.

Is there anyway you can make this miner work on the AMDGPU Pro PAL driver? Specifically version 18.30?  The issue is Cryptonight full rate hashing is not really supported until that version. This miner is the only one that must use ROCm. You have support for AMDGPU Pro but it is only legacy OpenCL support on the driver and not PAL support. Can you please support PAL or I guess Windows but I'd rather just have PAL support so my builds just work... at this point I need to have an image for all other miners then a seperate ROCm image for this miner.
I understand your frustration, and we are looking into supporting the PAL driver.  Previously the opencl Vega driver that shipped with AMDGPU Pro was based on ROCm, but an older, broken version of ROCm that was relatively useless for mining (no riser support).  Supporting the PAL driver is on our todo list, but we don't know when we'll get this feature out.  It will depend on how much work it will be to support the PAL driver and we are still investigating that.
