Hey,
Disable sysntpd after upgrade that is the problem Wink
/etc/init.d/sysntpd disable
reboot
If it is not tplink just disable it ntpd  Wink

Woo, just find out that using sysupgrade.bin, some process that supposed to disable is enable.
Thanks loshia  Smiley

i keep getting failures on the hex 16A2
the failure keeps happening periodically and hexboard disables and then starts a new one -> might be over 30-50per day.
most of the time its ZOMBIE
or from faulty to DEAD.

re-starting everything sometimes help, but now i'm starting to get the following
(tried 3.xx and 4.0.0 and 4.2.2 versions)

HEXC failure -> disabling **** glibc detected - cgminer malloc(): memory corruption : 0x012dd718

what wrong?

Visual check your HEX16C, see if there is any burn component.

this is the setup im using:
1. git clone https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer.git
2. mv cgminer cgminer-4.2.2
3. cd cgminer-4.2.2
4. git checkout 5ed45a0d7a3bd71ed1b8726e5f1cdac55bf68196
5. wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/1kspms3gw0336du/5ed45a0d7a3bd71ed1b8726e5f1cdac55bf68196.patch
6. patch -p1 < 5ed45a0d7a3bd71ed1b8726e5f1cdac55bf68196.patch
7. ./autogen.sh
8. ./configuration --enable-hexminera --enable-hexminerc
(a and c are needed to both be enabled to C-to work)

9. sudo make
10. sudo make install
11. sudo ./cgminer

and for settings: --hexminerc-voltage 1080 --hexminerc-options 16:1400

(used the same to enable bflsc (jalapeno) in different folder cgminer-4.2.3 and it works ok all the time.

I had something weird happen with the new 0_3_1 software and the Hex8A1. I've only been using it a few days.

Lost internet, after router rebooted, the Hex16B went back to mining, but the Hex8A1 flashed red/green. They were using as much power, maybe 20W more actually, but no mining effort was appearing at the pool. I SSH into the TP-Link and it's running 85% load instead of the 30% it normally runs.

After I rebooted everything it's back to normal.

Did you check memory of tplink?
Free ?
High constant CPU usage indicates a thread lock
Most probably get_work was not awaken for some reason
If you are curious you can build cgminer with LOCK_TRacking enabled miner.h
And see lock stats output cgminer-api lockstats and check contents of /tmp/cglock file and post that here when something wired happens again
Check if corn is enabled on tplink also
It should reboot cgminer when it is not submitting work to the pool for some reason every 5 mins or so

How do you use the cgminer API? It seems broken:

Code:
root@HEX16A:/tmp# nc 127.0.0.1 4028
version
STATUS=E,When=1396700148,Code=14,Msg=Invalid command,Description=cgminer 4.2.2|root@HEX16A:/tmp#
root@HEX16A:/tmp#

just run command

Code:
cgminer-api stats
Code:
cgminer-api pools
Code:
cgminer-api summary

I recieved my 130 board today  Cheesy

Plugged it into my mr3020 and it started hashing immediately. Nothing beats a mr3020 when it comes to ease of use of technobit devices.

One question thoug, I set the chipcount to 4 and am running it on 260/1000, I'm getting about 102Gh/s average. Are the default settings for the 130 boerderij the Same as for the 260?
And what are save values to overclock?
Don't want to burn it like one of my Hex16a1's the day before yesterday...
In general:

4 chips * 260 Clock * 4 * 32 cores = 133GH

I would say that you are using old version of cgminer wher 4 chip board was not performing

get latest 3_1 Wink

You were right, updatend to latest version and now I'm getting 136GH/s on the Same settings.

Thank you very much.

I am running 275/1000

Nice, don't ask for RMA if something bad happen  Grin

I dont see why. I am running them in a datacenter and would guess that I am one of the few that have the devices running in a controlled environment made for computers.

Btw, can I use wifi to connect the TPLink to the network or only hard wired connection?

No, WiFi is disabled in the technobit ddwrt version

You can use 2 TP-Links  Wink

260 gh/s would result in ~1/3 BTC less when they arrive 2 weeks later. it sounds reasonable.

btw, mining has no ROI. i mine with free electricity and still only make ROI using tax tricks.

Later shipping date?

Good intuition, but with today's price drop, ROI is far far away anyway.

I don't know if this has been answered before - sorry I didn't read 40 pages worth of posts.

Why are 2 130GH miners cheaper than 1 260GH miner?

cgminer abandoned getwork, same way they pulled the plug on GPU mining.
That's wrong, we did not deprecate getwork. There were a couple of releases where it was broken, and the code was based on one of those broken releases. Having said that, there really is no reason to use getwork these days, even the proxies proxy stratum itself.
