I made the mistake of sending some TRC to Cryptopia before realizing there were problems with the chain.  Didn't read this forum for several days.  Just wondering when all this is sorted out, is there a chance the TRC will show up at Cryptopia?  It's not much, but still ...

if your wallet was on the chain that wins when you sent the TRC it will show up in the Cryptopia address like nothing was wrong
if your wallet was on a chain that goes away then your transaction never happened and your TRC would still be in your wallet.

Think if it very much like time travel and picking the correct reality Cheesy

say we use DGW for the difficulty retarget algo. Will work well for rapidly adjusting hashrate and will definitely improve mining for Terracoin over the shortcomings of a standard 2016 block retarget.

I think it will show up or still in your wallet. Don't worry. I think deposit will not cause user loss. Even if it's not the correct chain, then you can double spend and the exchange lose money. Cheesy

Another day has passed, and the freelance developer has made some good progress on the issue.
Many people wanted to add new features and hard fork once those are done, but enough people posted that they just want the problem fixed as fast as possible.  We are just going to fix things immediately without adding new features.
We will plan a hard fork adding new features later.  This will allow us to test the new features properly and make sure we are adding the right features.
We got some excellent feedback on which features people want next (atomic swap and multi-algo) and we can start working on those once this problem is solved.
Someone also suggested a regular schedule for hard forks (because we will always be adding new features) and I really like this idea.
I also have contacted multipool.us and they are willing to work with us to get people on their chain.
https://www.multipool.us/dashboard/pool/trc
Since we are trying to get everyone on that fork you should keep your rewards, but nothing is guaranteed at this time.
We are going to force everyone to use Sentinel, and if you have installed the watchdog branch of the github you will eventually need to revert to the master branch.  The checkpoints are nice, but my changes like the protocol bump will cause you issues in the long run.
Don’t bother updating right now.  Might as well stay on whatever you are using to save time until we release the new code etc.
If you want to try to get on the multipool chain clearbanned first then sometimes a reindex works, but other times a whole new download of the blockchain is required.
If you can get on that chain and stay on it for a bit you will get some good rewards while you are on there, but you will regularly have to fix the blockchain.
If you have a peer that is sending tons of data to another peer you might as well block that peer for a day.  This will stop the bandwidth use since it is just sending error data anyways.
Thanks again for your patience!
We will get this problem cured over the next couple of days!

Current top priority is to think about how to attract developers to grow the ecosystem involving TRC.
Since some people are holding TRC without doing anything, this is not a good thing to the ecosystem.
A healthy system is that the shares are in the hand of people with ability and action.
Think about how this will work in the real world. A company with shares. When the company needs to grow, they do SPO and offer the shares/option as some incentive.
If we do not do SPO, to protect the existing investors. We can raise money to buy back the shares and then use these shares to pay development services.
So I think a voting system is good for the TRC or any other similar systems to grow.

thank you for the information here.
no hardfork please.

please give us addnodes for the correct multipool.us chain.
other wise this pool has an unfair advantage / 51% attack.

Please don't do hard fork now, implement new features will require a lot of time. It will influence the trading too long.
Implementing new features should be well planned, not worth rushing it. It can be yearly based.

I agree with this. First let's get the network stable and everyone on 1 chain (this may in itself be a hard fork, no?).

My vote is to only add new features after things stabilize. Having said this, thank you devs for all of your hard work!

Jeeez guys, the Terraforming is quite bumpy, wouldn't you say? I agree to add some thing to add new impetus to this groundbreaking coin. Smiley

Adding segwit will put this coin in the right direction. If its not going to take too long then put segwit on TRC

My masternode hasn't shown any problems so far, and it's showing ENABLED as of now.  Never got the Watchdog error in question.

Do I still need to do the wallet update and re-index?

I think mine is working now after the update and re-index.  The old "chain" showed 9 (4.5 x 2) more TRC before the wallet update, which aren't showing up in this new wallet, even though it's already synced well past the old blocks.  Strange that my old masternode never showed any error messages.  Glad I checked here and fixed it early.

Anyone know the IP of the node that Multipool uses.  Could add it to your conf file.

there are a couple of issues, that we are correcting currently.
we have multiple splits which is what is causing the incorrect stats you are seeing.

We are setting back up the testnet currently to make sure adding in sentinel and the other fixes will correct the issue.

for the most part mining of TRC is done by asic at this point with multimining.
it is not a GPU friendly algo.

Coinwarz is currently showing this as most profitable coin with $1,140.20 profit/day.

What's wrong?

If nothing wrong, how to mine it with 980GTX? Which miner and pool? Thanks.

has anyone problems with his masternodes ? mine stopped paying .....

see my post above yours.
we have multiple chains currently
until consensus has returned to the block it's hard to say who got payments where.

We are actively working on correcting the issues.
