I don't mean to spoil anyone's fun or attack the vendor here...

But, would you agree with me that in the spirit of "fine craftsmanship" it would have been nice to see the disc at the and of the the second hand feature a print of a nice miniature image of the Bitcoin logo?

Wow, those are some nice pics!

If this had a calculator on it, I'd seriously consider purchasing.

those were two rejected and discarded prototypes
I'm actually very curious and I'm hoping you know a bit about the grey market.

Are those even real "swiss made" movements that somehow didn't meet the grade? Or are they knockoff made in some far away Sandcastlistan? Are the Swiss factories nowadays so porous to allow the manufacturing rejects to reach the market?

I remember the derisive word "tandeta" from my grandparents, but what is the current state of the market?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Yes, those were two rejected and discarded prototypes of earlier versions of chronographs without the "top" grade movements and with different case styles that, quite frankly, didn't meet our standards. I suspect they could become quite valuable at some point in the future for collectors.

I notice this bottle of lotion featured prominently in several pics. Is this for jacking off to the idea that you dropped four grand on a novelty wristwatch?

Updated images of the rotor have been posted to the original post. We're waiting for the new dial imprinting plate to come in any day now. The first Bitcoin Chronograph should be completed soon after. We'll post updated pictures as soon as it is completed.

And no, I'm not making much at all and don't expect to (no doubt a strange concept to most around these parts). I view it more like street performing for a few stray nickels than a serious money making scheme. There's a lot of talk on these boards about spreading the word about bitcoin to Joe and Jane public, this is my way of doing it.

"Why yes, I'm spreading the good word of Bitcoin by grinding people's computers to a halt and not even bothering to ask them first. This will surely promote goodwill and not at all make people associate Bitcoins with viruses and other crap that makes their computers unusable. You can tell my intentions are honorable because I'm hardly even making any money from screwing those people over!"

hhahahahhahaah

that was the best laugh I had all night.

thank you.

we all have agendas right? One of my agendas is to do everything I can to help keep the Bitcoin world as clean as possible, because I personally believe that the worst thing for us is to get pigeon holed as a anonymous currency for those who want to buy pornographic web site subscriptions without our wives finding out and buying drugs from silk road etc. My actual point was that you can distinguish your femininity amongst us crypto geeks without having any kind of sexual theme and be just as successful.

At least with me you can. Thank you for your response it was well taken.

you should get a thesaurus. We get it, your a "babe" Smiley

btw: have you actually made anything from the web miner?

I had a webminer on a 1000+ hit a day site for a month and this was back when the difficulty was way low like 3 months ago, made like .000000323 BTC

IMO (and I am the webmaster of several sites) you will do much better not pissing people off by using their computer's resources , then the few cents you will make from using a web based miner on your web sites.

You have to realize you may get users that are running a P4 with 256mb of ram and IE7

that webminer is going to slow their whole computer down to a grinding halt and possibly crash them
and I am not "trolling" this is a subject I have thoroughly experimented with myself. Just a nickels free of advice for you babe.

Well, thanks for the advice.

And while you may think I need a thesaurus (because, gosh, using the same word five times over two posts surely shows my lack of vocabulary), I'm sure you meant 'We get it, you're a "babe" ' as opposed to 'your a "babe." ' I won't point out your other mistakes as I'm sure it's just human error and this isn't your PhD thesis or anything.

Bottom left hand corner of the screen there's the option to switch it off. Please feel free to do so.

If my CPU cycles are my property, then this is sort of like stealing french fries off my plate over and over again until I slap your hand away. Kinda scummy, IMO. Bitcoin should be striving for legitimacy, but everyone seems to like playing in the gutter instead.

Well, i don't know how to say this without offending anyone.

For me, it looks like a cheap mechanical wrist watch with a generic asian clockwork (probably by some company called "BTC"?) or maybe with a custom engraving of these three letters.

Worth: probably 5$.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

No offence, but I guess you're not the intended target audience.

Check out this site called Buy It Cheaper (http://www.buycheapr.com/us/result.jsp?ga=us10&q=eta+valjoux+7750) and then bear in mind that this particular watch is a limited edition.

If it doesn't appeal to any early adopters of bitcoin, then might do to someone who's already wealthy (or a bit of a spender) who wants to take a punt on bitcoin, or who is just into collecting exclusive/expensive watches.

bitcoinbabe:

is it really necessary to use the word 'porn' five times on the front page of your blog?

In the context in which it is used (i.e. that fiat currency can be, has been, and is, used for as many nefarious/unsavoury activities as btc), I'd have to say yes.

Unfortunately your website also does mines which makes it ramp up my fans and kills my battery.

from your website:

http://www.bitcoinplus.com/generate">Generate bitcoin at Bitcoin Plus

Bottom left hand corner of the screen there's the option to switch it off. Please feel free to do so.

thats interesting.  i'm running on a Mac.  does the miner only work on Windows?

As far as I know, it should work on Mac too. There's also a dedicated Wordpress plugin and the above code, which littleshop pasted, is take from the Bitcoin Plus website miner page: http://www.bitcoinplus.com/miner/embeddable (and no, it's not a referral link, just for your information).
