Any proof that that's a real 7750? Some detailed shots of the movement would be nice

Sorry to spoil the fun Wink

Incorrect. The movement is manufactured by ETA a company owned by The Swatch Group. These are the same movements used in many of the major luxury brands. Very few watch companies make their own movements.

Curse you, Trader Steve!  Sometimes I think you're just taunting me with items of luxury I can't afford!  First gold bars!  Now this!  What's next?  A personal jetback?  Sharks with lasers on their heads?

Seriously though, I've been interested in getting a real mechanical chronograph for a while now.  I just need to convince myself that the expense is justified.  Hopefully bitcoins will shoot back up to 30.  Grin

LOL. There's a reason why we work so hard - to enjoy the fruits of our labor! Smiley

Yes, it looks even better in real life. The chronograph seconds hand is a "bitcoin" gold with gold accents on the dial. The pictures don't do it justice.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
My brother-in-law does hand tooled leather and can easily make an FOB (think key ring) incorporating the Bitcoin logo. He did three motorcycle seats for Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, two of which are in his museum. He's also been featured in over a dozen magazines.

Well, i don't know how to say this without offending anyone.

For me, it looks like a cheap mechanical wrist watch with a generic asian clockwork (probably by some company called "BTC"?) or maybe with a custom engraving of these three letters.

Worth: probably 5$.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

No offence, but I guess you're not the intended target audience.

Check out this site called Buy It Cheaper (http://www.buycheapr.com/us/result.jsp?ga=us10&q=eta+valjoux+7750) and then bear in mind that this particular watch is a limited edition.

If it doesn't appeal to any early adopters of bitcoin, then might do to someone who's already wealthy (or a bit of a spender) who wants to take a punt on bitcoin, or who is just into collecting exclusive/expensive watches.

100% Swiss Made. The movement alone runs between $400 and $800. Search "Valjoux 7750 ETA". This is a "Top" grade movement.

I will buy one if you can get Patek to manufacture it.  Vacheron would be ok too.
