There are plenty of successful and profitable ICOs out there. Once the company successfully goes past the ICO stage, its value should start getting higher, as the company itself becomes more trusted and well-established in the marketplace. At the same time, the token’s value will go up as well, enabling investors to gain bigger profits.

Usually, people think that the only way to make money in crypto is to buy tokens when the price is low and sell them when the price rises. However, there are other smart ways to earn money in the crypto space... https://medium.com/tokensmarketplace/token-school-4-what-to-do-with-tokens-f4743101101e

Just how the ICO intends to collect its funds also contributes to its attractiveness…
There are three types of ICO auctions:

1. CAPPED SALES
2. UNCAPPED SALES
3. DUTCH AUCTION

ICOs are also incorporating tiered multiple investment rounds and pre-sales in order to generate more desirable outcomes... https://medium.com/tokensmarketplace/ico-school-4-what-types-of-ico-auction-exist-fa51fdaf9a0

I think I would not comment further for the point number 2, at least for now, as I'd like to focus on number 1. Without amy disrespect for the whole moderators and administrators of this forum, bitcointalk applied those reporting and limiting post method, but there are still lots of scammers and spammers every day.

On this forum's case, the issue (although still concerning) is not threatening as the forum are more open and attributed to discussion. However, if the same condition applied to your site, it'll be a serious problem as your site has this "investing" tendency.

It'll be very nice if you can apply verification steps upon sign up before they can post.

We appreciate your concern, but we assure you that we will not offer investment advices, nor will we endorse or recommend investments in any project or the suitability of an investment for any particular investor. Tokens Marketplace is not registered as a broker-dealer or financial or investment advisor and does not provide any services requiring such registration. The information on our website regarding any project or in a blog post will be based on publicly available information or directly from the subject project. Tokens Marketplace makes no representation or warrant as to the adequacy, accuracy or completeness of such information. User reviews will be posted just for informative purposes, and if we notice any abuse of this feature, we reserve the right to remove this feature from our website without notice.

Forgive the misunderstanding, I think we lost in translation. Allow me to express it in other way.

Your site will mostly filled with recommendations, reviews, and suggestions made by members of your site about future projects and icos. If you can not establish a strict method to prevent abuse of multi accounts, it can be a serious problem as these accounts can influence people in many ways to invest on bad icos.

If you planned similar method to fight against multialts as how this forum does, I'm afraid it is not adequate. Bitcointalk doesn't need to focus too much on multialts as the nature of this forum is to facilitate a place to discuss about so many things like exchanges, wallets, technical issues, etc. While your site's topic and discussion established by members will have a bigger portion on ico and project that should and shouldn't be invested.

Bottomline: you need to have a strict method of membership if you really concerned about how spammers can affect inexperienced investors.

One e-mail address - One account. Our site administrators will monitor activity, especially in My syndicate section, where spammy action will be sanctioned by removing the account. That is our strategy against spammers for now. We are open to any other suggestion, because we want our users to have the best experience when visiting our website Smiley

First of all, thank you for expressing interest in our project and asking all the right questions Smiley

1. Every user who wishes to post a review of an ICO project will first have to register on our website. We will have administrators who will monitor and sanction any suspicious activity. Similar rules for bitcointalk forum regarding posting will apply on our website too. Also, we will rely on community support as well, and we will review every report on any unusual activity. But, as you probably know, scamming activities will always exist, and that is why we strongly advise every potential investor to do his own research and to rely on his own instinct.

2. For now, our strategy is to position Tokens Marketplace as the only open marketplace for tokens, and the only place where users can pay directly with credit cards, find airdrops, bounties and share their thoughts on projects they like. Reviews are just one segment of the marketplace and since they are not done by professionals, but by users themselves, there is no need to advertise that as a premium feature of the Marketplace. In that way, we do not see well established rating portals as our direct competitors.

Yes, from ICO's. Free listing is free, advanced will be paid. Our FAQ page is still work in progress, and we will share the link once it is live. We will not have whitepaper, as this is not an ICO project Smiley

Very well, we have to make-do, then. My next curiosity will be on your strategy against similar product, like EIDOO (I'm not associated with them at any degree). They're mobile wallet anf exchange that facilitate ICO through their ICOEngine. In several ways, mobile app that has multi purpose like them seems more interesting than your web based app?

First difference is that we do not require users to have our tokens in order to use our services. We will integrate all available and functional services that cryptomarket has to offer today. We are not inventing new wallets, payment processors, or ICO engines. It is a marketplace like many others, just for buying tokens. Think of it as something similar to Alibaba website or Booking.com. It will be a place where experienced investors and those that are first time investors can both have the easy access to all upcoming ICO projects, airdrops, bounties, and later on token auctions. They can share their thoughts, rate projects or add them to their watchlist. It is supposed to bring closer investors and ICO projects, and to have everything conveniently placed in one place Smiley

I don't think EIDOO require their member to have EDO before they can use their service? Eidoo pushed back their release date of exchange again, tho. Regarding other matters like new investors interacting with other professionals to review ICOs, I have two points for this.

1. (suppose that your project grew big and considered as a big reference site for ICOs by cryptocommunity) What will you do to prevent some scamming ico to create hundreds of new accounts and post fake review and shills for their own benefit?

2. Aren't there several independent entities who already do this? Rating ICO and giving reminders through emails for ICO dates? They have an advantage of being established long before you do, and more well-known. Any strategy to penetrate their market?

It is time for a new section in our SCHOOl  Grin

ICO School 1. — What is an ICO?

An ICO is somewhat similar to an initial public offering in that it allows investors to purchase a “share” (or token) in a new idea or project…

An initial coin offering (ICO) is a means of crowdfunding, through the release of a new cryptocurrency or token to fund project development.

In an ICO, a project creates a certain amount of digital tokens and sell them to the public, usually in exchange for other cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin or ether.

Main reasons why public might be interested in a new token are these:
1) The token has an inherent benefit — it grants the holder access to a service, a say in an outcome or a share in the project’s earnings.
2) The benefit will be in increasing demand, which will push up the market price of the token.
