It shouldn't have taken any time, because it should have never been locked up. Bittrex has said, in more polite wording of course, "Fuck you, we have your coins hostage and that's what happens when you don't control the private keys of the account you gave them to".In truth, when we send our coins to an exchange, we give them those coins and they give us an "account" roughly equivalent to the "value" of those coins. Bittrex doesn't give a fuck and we're screwed.

Is there any way to fix this error:
URGENT: Alert key compromised, upgrade required
It means that the UNB dev didn't change the keys when creating the 1st fork from Bitcoin Core 0.8. Bitcoin has dumped the Alert Key system and sent out an unending message that UNB picks up (because that part of UNB is still Bitcoin Core 0.8 ). URGENT: Alert key compromised, upgrade required

Was there a hard fork of some sort to fix the diff? Or are the 253 miners on Multipool just wasting their hashing power on a hope and dream?

The answer to that question is that blockexperts.com isn't connected to anyone and blockexperts.com doesn't list a way to connect to blockexperts.com.
No other peers, peers lists, sites, or extraneous silliness is relevant to quoting that chain of the conversation.

Shut the wallet down and create an unbreakablecoin.conf file in the appdata/roaming/unbreakablecoin directory and insert addnode=x.x.x.x
