Some so called financial experts estimate that BTC will shoot up to $1,000,000.00 in the future when mining btc stops/comes to a crawl due to the difficulty/availability to be mined.
And I say USDe will do too, as long as we spread the word and get it to be accepted at various e/retailers etc. Some paypal exchange deal would be sweet too as the popularity of USDe rises!!!!

While it's just a guess, I don't think Mike feels that way specifically about USDe... sounds more like he was temporarily pessimistic about all crypto currencies due to Bitcoin's recent price drop...
As far as we know Mike is a strong supporter and we appreciate Poolerino being with us since day 1!

We can all speculate as to how USDe will react to the halving of the coins. One thing is certain. USDe will take more time to mine and it will not be as easy to get.
Will this have an immediate impact? Hard to say.
However I am not looking for any immediate impact. I am looking for USDe to not only survive this current crypto currency crisis, I am looking for USDe to thrive.
USDe is not a scheme or a pump and dump. USDe is a coin that is meant to have an impact. This coin was created with LONG TERM goals in mind.
So sit back and enjoy the ride. Stop worrying about what may or may not happen. Start supporting USDe!

I guess the price might fall at first, but then go up later. However, it's only a guess and I'm no expert.

Quick update and clarification regarding the upcoming USDe block reward halving.
Initially, when the the coin was coded, the first reward halving was scheduled at 1/3 of the USDe coin supply based on a specific block, but when we changed the block payouts to a different number of coins, the block # at which the 1/3 of the supply would be generated was changed. Therefore, the first USDe block reward halving will be happening at block # 139,604.
This means that block rewards for every mined USDe block will drop to 2,000 USDe this upcoming Friday.

A calculation I did some time ago:
From OP:
USDE max supply: 1.6 Billion (1,600,000,000)
Block halving: block halving every 1/3rd of the coin's total supply
Time per block: 1 min
There are on average 4000 coins in 1 block:
1.6 billion / 4000 = 400.000 blocks
400.000/3 = 133.333 blocks before first block halving
Current block: ~129405
133.333-129405=3928 blocks to go
3219*1 min = 3928 min = 65.5 hours = 2.7 days to go
well if your math and understand are correct, we;ll halve at 133,333 block,, so that time totoal coins will reach around 550M.
anyway, hope our hardfork will be smoothy as planned.
Thanks for the calculation as well. One note. There will be no hard fork/change in code for this, no wallet changes, etc. The halving event is already built-in to USDe. Enjoy the large blocks while you can :-)
