If you using windows version, please backup your wallet.dat file,
Quit wallet app, and delete all old vpncoin's blockchain files (%appdata%\vpncoin),

For fast sync blockchain, you can download VpnCoin blockchain (total 644268 blocks) 7zip pack:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-Qjd4KYywaaVVp1MFZfTE93Vmc/view?usp=sharing
And extract to %appdata%\vpncoin folder,

Then restart vpncoin wallet app (Vpncoin-qt.exe),

i think doing an airdrop with ~8,6 BTC of VPN is a very nice action.
Even if the devs would own 100M VPN they are not forced to give away anything for free.

See their share more like an investment into the future of VPN

VPN was also distributed for free on some chinese sites and here in the forum so this was one of the best and fairest distributions in my opinion
and don't forget they burnt 600M VPN
