I have GPU rigs (AMD graphic cards), can I mine the coin?

There is no public GPU miner as of this date. There is a bounty for the development of a GPU miner and apparently at least one person (group of people) is working on it.

Or this one is mineable for only CPU?

As far as what is publicly known, for the time being, yes.

New release out! Release 0.3.9 introduces a HUGE increase in hashrate. Verus has the FASTEST CPU hash algorithm out there.

You can find the new release at https://veruscoin.io

Is this still viable to CPU mine?
Yes, of course. Last night i mined one block on Core i7-6700k.

Hi.
My computer has mega hash/s 3.4
I continued mining for ten days after finding the first block, but the number of Confirmation of the first block continues to increase. Currently it is around 14000. I can not find the next block. What should I do? Or is this normal?
What about number of confirmations - this is absolutelly normal, it should be +1 after each new block in network. What about mining - make sure that you are running latest version of wallet. In last version VRSC have Radical hash rate optimization. Update, if you have not already and just continue mining.

i´m still temporarily mining with my 0.3.1 beta wallet and about 3.1 MH/s with my i7 6700 CPU. I started mining from block 700 so i was able to find some small blocks from the beginning which are matured already. After that i found 2 blocks with 384 VRSC which will mature around block 300.0000 and 950.000, so a lot time to wait Wink

The luck plays a big role on solo mining, so i mined 3 days non-stop without anything while i found the last block just after 3 hours of mining.

If someone is still interested.
Have received AMD Ryzen 2600 = 6.9MH

How often do you find blocks?

If i will answer , topic manager will ban me  Grin

I have been mining for a week and I got NOTHING.
2 devices, 1 with 2,7MH and 1 with 1,7MH with 2 differnt OS.
NOTHING.

Network hashrate is too high. My 9mh brings me ~1 block daily. So you need just wait...

Looks like the network hashrate grows exponentially.
After 18.06 I was lucky to find 2 blocks every 4 days with 7.5MH
On the other hand, this indicates, that more and more people are interested in the project. 'beer'

There is a new miner with a MUCH faster hashrate released this morning and announced on Discord -- can be 20 - 30x the speed now... you can get the latest at https://veruscoin.io

Does it make sense to mine Veruscoin with my Rasparry Pi? I also have a old netbook but it has only one core. I mean to mine coins in a decent time (one week or less). Thanks!

I think your old laptop is great for this activity. and you will have an income. use it.

Looks like a good project. I just don't like the Distribution through Mining as rich guys will always win that Battle. I prefer airdrops or some mining where not more hardware means more Coins. But anyway better CPU Mining than Asics. I will Download the wallet the next days wish you best luck !

if u are getting 1block a day with 9mh I should be getting 0,5 block a day with my 4,4. Am I right?

and... why do u say i need to wait... I have got ZERO after 8 days when i should have got 4 blocks on average if im right.

i have seen this question on some other forums and for my own interest:

How can i make a safe backup from VRSC agama wallet?

The problem i have is the following: I installed the agama wallet first time when i heard from this coin. After installing the wallet and selecting VRSC in natiove mode the wallet started immediately, without creating a seed. In the settings section i just find the option to encrypt my seed, but where did i find it?

Now i am starting the same wallet and choose KMD as my selected coin. Now the wallet wants a seed to login or gives me the chance to create a new wallet.

So my backup is that i have saved my complete VRSC folder (which you can find in the AppData section as a sub-folder to KMD).

Correct or are there any smarter solutions for backing up my VRSC wallet?
Go to "Recieve". Next to your public address you'll  see 3-dotted vertical line. Press it. In that menu choose "Copy Private Key".
That's for couple of main addresses you have there. Better yet, copy wallet.dat located @ Roaming\Komodo\VRSC

Just FYI: From previous experience with Komodo: It is better to shut the diamond and wallet off before copying wallet.dat  I have had few bad copies when saved while running.

thanks a lot Danzig!

I should say that this really seems to be good but it is one of the hardest wallets for me to get it working.

I'm sorry you're having trouble. Please visit our discord, where I or someone there could likely make it easier.
