Again apologies for the all caps...the following was not in the release notes but will cover here.

DO NOT TRY TO RUN V1.0.0.0 AFTER RUNNING V1.2.1.1 IT JUST WILL NOT WORK.

There is a work around that will allow you to downgrade but I am not going to share it cause it will not help you or the community to get on the proper chain.

AND DO NOT RUN MULTIPLE INSTANCES OF THE WALLET WITH SAME WALLET.DAT. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF USING DIFFERENT OR SAME MACHINE AND DOES NOT MATTER IF DIFFERENT OR SAME WALLET VERSION.

There is high probability you will create orphaned blocks, corrupt your wallet.dat and your address be banned by the network DDoS rules.

There is also the chance of change addresses being created in one wallet.dat and not the other if you do successfully stake. This will effectively create a fork between your wallet.dat copies which can only be fixed by moving your coins to an address that exists in both wallet.dat.

I get why people do this. Yes there is an element of luck in staking just same as there is with mining. And yes there is a chance this luck will allow you to stake an input sooner on one computer than the other.

However the potential for lost coins, address being being banned by the network preventing you from sending coins or staking on any device anywhere, forked wallet.dat, orphaned stakes and in general low cost:benefit ratio administrative overhead and headache for luck based gains.... doesn’t make it work the effort.

Yes, many people have same problem.

Loaded entire blockchain from scratch using version 1.1.0.1 (only takes 2-3 hours)...
And it stops dead at 470510... so what is the solution? Only Vulcano Classic syncs fully.

Not this guys fault, but...
This is the worst managed fork I've ever seen with basically ONE days notice...
I'm pretty sure that Yobit is on the wrong fork for 2 days now... so Yobit is now Vulcano Classic.

When I check getpeerinfo only about 30% of 45 peers are running the new version. Trololo

this is a pretty comprehensive post from our own superman binkerssoft explaining whats going on

binkerssoft: All new wallets will be stuck on block 470510 as it is the last block before midnight GMT June 1 st and the new wallet will not accept blocks after that from the old wallet. New wallets can't successfully forge a new block till they get a majority of the weight.

This vulcano.zip snapshot will bring you to block 470510 and is a fresh download of the chain that I began after midnight GMT June 1st so it will include only blocks that the new wallet will accept. It maybe required for fresh installs of if you feel you are on the wrong chain. It also includes a large peers.dat file.

If you have ran the old wallet past midnight GMT June 1st then you are likely on the wrong chain and will need to use the bootstrap if the wallet doesn't correct the problem itself. The easiest way to use the bootstrap is to delete everything in the data folder EXCEPT FOR WALLET.DAT. Then copy the files from the vulcano.zip above into the roaming folder and launch the new wallet.exe from the github also linked above.

Any stakes earned by the old wallet after midnight GMT June 1st will not show in the new wallet resulting in your new wallet balance being smaller than old wallet balance. If you feel your balance is not correct you can try running the wallet with the -rescan switch when running the wallet from the command prompt.(gewijzigd)

hi,
well i downloaded and installed latest wallet, installed bootstrap. and my old wallet never ran past the time for chain change. my problem is it did sync to a certain point. then it froze so i restarted it and the .conf file has my addnodes but now theres no connections to the network. i went to discord and no chatter about new wallet and sync issues at all.
