I agree -- and, as I said earlier (over on the WAM Fb Page), if wampumcoin.com provide some technical insight or pointers and details, we could try and find a way for a new pool (or pools, nicely distributed geographically and IP-address-wise for better network stability etc).

As far as USING wampumcoins is concerned, we need to focus on seriously good marketing and establish a user base of people transacting in real-life for real goods (not games, Satoshi-dicey-thingies, nor lotteries etc). Taxis, shared rides, e-books and downloadables, web hosting comes to mind as a first here; bricks and mortar/boutique/Point-of-Sale use, too. (The old "dev" sold us on the idea of Reservation stores -- which is good --, but that may never have been his true intention, as he appraently only played the "half-Indian" card to "better sell" Wampumcoin.

Let's look at the (extremely) bright spots of WAM again, which are:

   - high number of total coins (don't laugh, this IS good -- a lot better than Bitcoin's ridiculously low 21m that will dry out any real and useful market, even if we all go back to the 8th decimal -- which would suck and hamper the coin's acceptance); Wampumcoin is good for liquidity and for BUILDING things (even colored coins and rally cool stuff),
   - blazing-fast transaction time (usually less than 20 secs),
   - only 2 confirmations needed for transactions (good at Point of Sale, now ridiculous waiting for like 10 mins as with Bitcoin -- forget about that),
   - easy to mine (good for Noobs wanting to get into something and having lots of coins right from the start)
   - and much more

So yes, let us throw our resources and a few good ideas together and go for "WAM Ver1.1" -- call me old-fashioned, but this could even be a lot of fun...

So anyway, we'll do the best we can with this coin. And we'll post updates here as long as it works, after all, this may be the place for Bitcoin & altcoin related ins and outs (arguably by some), but we don't run this forum and we're really not interested in subjecting ourselves to punishment .

It might seem so, but I personally don't get in to the chitter-chatter and back and forths, so if some of the overly critical people hammer us too much and we get no support in our defense from our supporters, we'll probably just drop in to the background and actually work on building the coin up in some ways that work for us and the supporters.

At this point, we've gone over all of the material we've obtained from the previous "developer" and we've come to the same determination that some of you had come to:
Interesting ideas, a lot of hype and talk, some promises, few results; nothing special. Another sh*t coin.

So maybe we do something refreshing and admit that. Maybe we do something amazing and throw all of our resources (for all they're worth!) at this and make this one a bit different. Hopefully successful.

I'm posting this here at the advise of one of our supporters to let everyone interest know whats been happening:

Bitcoin Corporation is the new owners of WampumCoin.com and other wampumcoin Assets.

What we mean by WampumCoin Assets is that since a cryptocurrency typically is designed to be decentralized,
we really shouldn't speak in terms of there being an owner of the Network, just certain originating Assets that contribute to it's function such Wallet balances, outlets such as informational websites, and Nodes thats facilitate the peer to peer functions. The more of each of these, the stronger the network. In that sense we have acquired these Assets.

Some of you might find it curious that a Company with the word bitcoin in it's name would have and interest in Wampumcoin. Bitcoin Corporation started off as just a Holding Company used to market to a specific type of investor interested in earning returns from bitcoin related holdings. We have never been financial advisers. We have just been interested in marketing good things to interested parties. That said, on one hand Bitcoin
is the original leading cryptocurrency where it all started. On the other hand, Bitcoin Corporation is just a name! One that we already had, so we still use it.

As minor crytocurrency marketers our purpose is to push WampumCoin in to the consciousness of every cryptocurrency user for every useful purpose that a cryptocurrency can be used for. On that note we're developing some campaigns to push WampumCoin.

Also, We made a deal with the previous owner of Wampumcoin.com to purchase a total of 9 social media accounts. 7 were not delivered.

Of the 7, bitcointalk was one. We attempted to secure the account with no success. Here is the text from part of that attempt:

"...he did not pay me a single penny for all that works I have done for lifting wampumcoin in this stage since the very begin!! And he did not even tell me that he was going to sell it, he just took the accounts and passwords, and cut every contacts with me!! So, I had to do something!! now if you need these accounts you have to pay me!! I want my money that's all!!

Because we own "wampumcoin.com" and we were lead to believe that the account/s would be transferred to us, we registered a different account for wampumcoin here at bitcointalk and saw no need to waste money.

The account "wampumcoin" is now unrelated to wampumcoin.com and the original distribution at https://github.com/wampumcoin. Please disregard any messages from that account.

Sorry for the brief slug, but we've been busy and thought it was important to let those interested know the state of Wampumcoin.
