Hello!

Below is the list I pulled together based on previous posts.  With each idea is a WC address.  Future coin addresses will be added to allow other coins to be donated as well.  The funds donated can be returned at this point should an idea evolve to the point where you no longer support it.  Refunds will only be sent to the address from which the coins were sent.  As more information comes forth from the Dev team and/or other DEVS I will update you.  I have backed up the wallet for these addresses and is password protected.  I will work transparently with you before releasing funds to anyone and will give 48 hrs notice before any transfer.  Refunds will only be for the original amount, the interest earned would be fwd to the WCF.

Update 8/22/14

Hello!

In case you missed it, we've had a great update to the WhiteCoin Wallet Released!  See the post from oizopower here  ==>https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8473297

Below are our recent totals, with some amazing donations coming in recently!  As a reminder, these donations right now are liquid.  At anytime a member who disagrees with the direction of a goal they've donated to, may request that donation back, and I will get it back to them in a timely nature (best i can.) Should this ever change, it will be ANN well ahead of time before any decisions are made, I have a strong fiduciary ethic regarding these funds. We are headed down the right path, and I'm personally looking forward from our VP Jason regarding our developments!  We should be seeing that update next week!

In light of the recent wallet update and upcoming developments, I wanted to share a little thanks to the leadership and community for keeping the dream alive for this coin. I have some personal interest in the use of the coin outside of this community for an idea I have been tossing around for a few months, but one thing does concern me that perhaps the group could shed some light. The amount of coins is limited and based on the previous statements found within this forum, a lot of the folks are staking and have been staking for a period of time. It has also been suggested (or documented) that the number of coins available from the exchanges is limited. To my point. Should I need to provide Whitecoins to clients as a transaction method (lets call it a mobile wallet for lack of another example), I would need to provide those coins to the end-devices from some bank of coins. If I did not personally own those coins, the clients would need to obtain those coins from some source. Other than getting onto the exchange and buying these coins (whereas the coin supply will soon run dry), where else might these folks get these coins to place upon their device? How does the community envision the coin being used as a currency if it's all locked up in staking just to earn interest? This is a serious question, so don't take it as anything else. I am trying to grasp a concept in how liquid this coin would be for end-to-end tansactions and back-end settlement to btc\fiat.

Pretty sure that if folk were willing to pay a lot more than ~70 sats a pop you would find a lot more WC on the exchanges right now. It is called supply and demand, if the supply drops the price goes up in turn encouraging those with more supply to make it available.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, but keep going back to the concept of being able to purchase coin from individual wallets on the network and not the exchange wallets. The idea then would be like that of staking (in other wallets) whereas you can state the coins you want to stake and those you wish to not stake. In the wallet exchange, would have those coins for sale to other wallet (at a price that is configurable in the wallet) and those coins that are not for sale or are staking. Thus, if I had an application on my phone and wanted to do a order on something, it would broadcast to the WC network for the collection of coins that would make up the aggregated volume (price) for the item I wanted to buy and exchange those into my wallet in my mobile device (or wallet on an exchange). Thereby creating a distributed funding exchange free of trading fees. I don't know, maybe I am over thinking this concept.
