Is this wallet update some kind of joke?
I downloaded new 1.2.0 version, copied .keys file, wanted to restore wallet from file and says "invalid password"
I tried once, two times, three times - same thing.
I open old wallet, open from file, SAME PASSWORD, works normally
EDIT: Tried also "restore from seed" option
says INVALID SEED - which is not possible.

If you need help come on discord and one of us should be able to walk you through it.
Lind you are correct that is the proper way to do it
copy the walletname.keys, walletname and walletname.txt file to the new directory, and open like normal
also like others have mentioned above, try run as admin, and make sure it is in an excluded folder
the other thing that has helped people is try running it and dont type anything in the password box (leave it blank). it may have something to do with characters not being english, that is something I am still testing for the next GUI update.
also 1.2.0 had no GUI update, it was a pure binary CLI update, so I am not sure why it would be giving you this error

run as admin, check if windows dint flag some part and quarantined it etc, put it into excluded folder so system doesnt messes with it, viral ssd? btw your hard-drive can be the culprit to

I had a similar problem. I downloaded the GUI 1.1.1 version, then downloaded the GUI 1.2.0 version, from there copied 8 files, which are indicated on the github, and copied .keys files. And then went into the purse.

Copy .keys + other 2 named as .keys file. (file, txt) I use this and never had to restore. Works fine for me, it opens.
I encourage you to ask devs on discord or telegram.

it seems like it takes a lot longer to really believe in this, the website is too simple and the information is not enough, although it has a total supply of quite a lot, but I cannot believe the price, hope the future gets better, I'll keep seeing this

Each user has their own opinions on the project account. I'm not happy with this project as it was with a couple of other projects like pundix but the fact that the team presented looks in principle very good and interesting product. Adding to my list!
