THINK IT, BUILD IT, PLAY IT! --- XAYA
First time in 8 years I used XAYA discord link and it took me to darknet porn nest. I got disgusted and then, moved by nausea, ducked out in panic and apprehension. Most holders are way too chicken-livered and timid to admit that in the backdrop of a general picture lives something barbaric and ruthless about XAYA that ur eye can not see. No one is permitted to talk about it because they know they would be gagged and trussed up like Halloween turkey.

Um, no. That didn't happen. Or somebody else was screwing with you. We don't link people to pron. We send people to things related to Xaya, e.g. Discord, Medium, our websites, etc.

Actually I was using a vpn ip that discord doesn't like, but I know what you mean. You have to be careful. The first time I tried to buy bitcoin I ended up in a crack house and woke up just as it was being raided.

Xaya is a good project but in my opinion gaming has to evolve into taskwork for some people, at least that option should exist. There are lots of gaming projects but no taskwork projects aside from very primitive projects trying to open up the field, like Idena. It's wide open and whichever coin starts the rush will do well.

New medium post is out.

Other than the Xaya Core blockchain, the technologies we have created are blockchain agnostic, meaning that it doesn’t really matter what blockchain you are using because Xaya can turn it into a blockchain game. In particular, the libxayagame library is the primary engine that powers true blockchain games. However, for libxayagame to run on other blockchains, it needs a little helper: enter Xaya X.

Xaya X empowers developers on different blockchains to take advantage of the massive advantages that Xaya offers. Devs need merely point their GSP at Xaya X, and just like magic, they’ve got the most powerful blockchain gaming platform in the world at their fingertips.

For more, see the whole post: https://xaya.medium.com/xaya-x-is-for-every-blockchain-88e5a6e7545f

Xaya is the cutting edge of ai coins which will develop soon, all it needs is to be more amenable to non tech types using it as a task work coin.

"games' and 'taskwork' are the same thing, except one has lots of developers and the other has none.

I have a question regarding Xaya-QT wallet for Windows. I wonder if there is anybody using it besides me, because the issue is very apparent and annoying, yet nobody seems to report it up until now... The problem is - whenever I open the wallet, it crashes. So I have to delete the "blocks" and "chainstate" folders from the "C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Xaya" directory, then reopen the Xaya-QT and wait it to sync from scratch. That way it works for the last year at least.

I was using it on a Win7 machine, and assumed that misbehavior is due to the OS being too old. However I am using it on a Win10 machine currently, and the behavior is the same - it crashes, forcing me to sync it from scratch every single time I need to use it.

Is it a known bug? Is there anything I can do to avoid it, or to help the devs reproduce and fix it? The version is "Xaya version v1.1 (64-bit)", I assume that is the latest one.

Xaya version v1.4.1

There is also a Xaya Core 1.5.1.1 but you have to know how to convert source code into a working wallet

If you look at the versions most people are using

there are only three people who have tried 1.x.x in the last 24 hours, so maybe there is some kind of killswitch in newer versions that knocks out older versions to encourage those people to update?

Oops Shocked. Thanks for pointing this! By some reason I was under the impression the QT wallet doesn't get updated... Probably that's because there is no Xaya-QT section in Github, and wallet updates are placed under "Zaya Core" umbrella... and of course because of my laziness. I can now see my issue is actually logged (https://github.com/xaya/xaya/issues/82) and fixed long time ago Lips sealed

Version 1.x.x still works well, connects to peers and syncs from scratch pretty fast, so I guess the only reason most people don't use it, is the fact that you cannot restart it once you close the wallet Smiley

Anyway, thanks again, will update it now.

Thought : It would be cool to have an pair somewhere that allows for CHI/WCHI trading so we can change them for each other at will.
Something other than manual trades done by team. Something for smaller batches.

Volume going strong. It's been over $100k in a day recently including Uniswap, and Xaya market cap on pace for new highs this year:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xaya/

Also, Xaya is in a nice position on the "Play to Earn" CMC list. With Axie at the top at nearly 5 billion dollars. Leaves something to aim for Smiley
https://coinmarketcap.com/view/play-to-earn/
This should give some nice exposure to the project to investors just surfing that list.

With Soccer Manager Elite coming out likely in the next few months, things are looking good! Keep it up!

Well over half the Xaya nodes are in China

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/chi/#network-geo-tab

Posting the image here so people can see outright. Now, I wonder, what will happen to these nodes because China is in crackdown of miners? If they are still online today, this means, China is still not full blast in shutting down these miners.

You cannot be sure those are miners. Those could be just full nodes.

EDIT: Interesting enough, I've just checked and see this:

So either the number of Chinese nodes is constantly fluctuating, or someone in China read your post Grin

P.S. The number of nodes also matters. My screenshot was done with "18 connections" shown at explorer. Not sure how many nodes were active when you screenshotted yours.

Human mining games = games where people do circular tasks, games, to make money.

Taskwork coins = coins where people do work of some sort, as part of a broader economy, to make money.

~

Taskwork coins can create millions of jobs.

A good direction for a coin like Huc or Chi is to create modular programs that can be added on to a basic taskwork core and allow anybody to create their own taskwork coin for all sorts of work.

~

It is one of the most lucrative paths for a coin, and it is a wide open niche that nobody has properly exploited yet.

The obvious progression from 'human mining games' to 'human mining taskwork' is probably the next big step in the economy, but the value is centered right now in coins that make smart contracts or do other trivial things which should be a very minor mechanical part of any economy.

Huc and Xaya have helped start the technology of human mining task work, which will be the basis for a real ai economy, as opposed to the 'software based' ai tools that Google and other corps promote, but which do not actually focus on real ai.

~

You have made various games for Xaya, why not make one program that steps up from 'game' to simple taskwork with parameters that would fit the needs of most simple taskwork projects?

So if somebody wants to have online people do x job they can say 'Xaya or whatever coin facilitates that, and can be set up quickly'

It is obvious in which direction the coin economy is heading. It will be a dangerous place soon, and the power should not be concentrated in transnational corps and melting pot interests.

~

As long as a taskwork coin's basic framework is open source and comprehensible to enough people, it is good as long as it is not a monopoly.

sounds great and something to think about for the future
