I've just heard that there will be a hard fork... so you get coins of a new cryptocurrency for every old coin... what is the name of the new cryptocurrency then? Will the old chi coins become worthless after the hard fork? Or did I understand something completely wrong here..  Huh Huh And where do I get the new coins??

You won't get any new coins, your old CHI will be the new CHI Wink All you have to do, is, to update your wallet. You should do this preferrably before the hardfork happens at block 440000 (we are at ~412000 now). An update at a later point is still possible though, as long as you don't use the chain in the meantime. But better to do it right away now so you are safe and won't forget it.

If you fail to update your wallet, you will either stop downloading blocks or be on a fork and you may lose coins, if you try spending/sending them.

The Treat Fighter Open Beta Competition finished on Monday at XAYA block 394,050 shortly after 7 PM EST.

It was a hard grind for everyone involved, but also proved to be a lot of fun and some nice prizes were given out.

It looks like it was a pretty close match in the end. Congratulations to all the winners! Hopefully more similar competitions will follow in the future.

Hi Everyone:

The planned Hardfork is coming up - block 440k ~3.5 Weeks.

Quote
This is a new major release of Xaya Core, including changes ported from upstream Bitcoin/Namecoin as well as new features built specifically for Xaya. For a list of changes, look at the 1.1 milestone on Github.

The two most important changes in this release are:

A hard fork has been implemented that changes the network parameters (mainly block schedule and block reward). On mainnet, the fork will activate at block height 440,000. This is in-line with the roadmap to adjust the PoW coin supply after the finished token sale.
A Xaya-specific ZMQ interface has been implemented, which will make it easier to build games on the Xaya platform and is needed for interoperability with libxayagame.

For windows users, you can download the Electron wallet v1.1

For Mac/Linux/Windows users who want to use the QT/XAYAd

A little unofficial development update from Andy/snailbrain for those who don't pay regular visits to the Xaya telegram channel:

Quote
The c++ library is on github and useable. We will be releasing some news in it and other stuff soon.
We have currently (today) just finished a unity example that integrates with libxayagame library and allows the user to create a gamestate processor in c#
It's a port of the mover example in the libxayagame repo.
When we have fully tested and documented we will release the info asap.
We have also been working closely with soccer manager and we have integrated what they have done so far with our library. For now we've calculated the result of a soccer match in a provably fair decentralized way using their match engine Smiley and they have already built most of the UI.

We are also still working on our own secret project...

Saying all that... We will be making a move to discord over the coming weeks .. although we will be using the forum for specific updates and announcements still..

Definitely keep up on the forums and here as well since that is where many users make their investment decisions and keep up with the project. Most people who buy coins don't generally have logins to dozens of project's discord and telegram platforms, but do lurk forums such as Bitcointalk and Xaya Forums without an account.

I agree on this, for me Bitcointalk and the XAYA forums are also easier to filter out all the noise from the public chat channels. I also think there is a big group that really only follows Bitcointalk, since this still is the place where most projects have their inception.

Thank you, some good updates. Good to see that the XAYA blockchain already is proving it's potential, connected to the Soccer Manager match engine.

Still looking forward to the secret project! Wink

And I think Discord is a great improvement for communications, paired with the forum.

I was just looking over https://www.soccermanager.com/.

There are over 15 Million "Managers" playing. When https://www.soccermanager.com/crypto/ comes out that will be 15 million potential users coming on board with Xaya right out of the gate.

Not a bad start. If each one needed an average of just one CHI to trade and play....... hmmm...

I'm not selling any so they will have to get them elsewhere Tongue

Awesome promotion! Great to showcase the abilities of the game itself but most importantly, the XAYA blockchain too. Looking forward to give this a shot!
Good strategy team!, it looks like there will be many who try it, to see how large the ability ourselves, and prizes were offered quite a lot. There will be many people who will be participating.
I will also be happy to take part in the competition. I think it will be fun and profitable! I hope the team will conduct many such contests.
