Could someone explain why a DAG-based coin needs mining?
What benefit mining add to DAG based coin.

Because there are many other which dont have mining? what we need mining for?

If you have knowledge on this topic, please share.

Cracking passwords for the KGB, perhaps?

What is KGB? can you explain it more? Huh

Guys I just donated some BTC to the dev of this project. The mainnet has been working great for a month for me. He has put in some serious work in this project and definitely deserves all the help he can get from the community. His personal btc and xdag address are posted on xdag.me. I would like to encourage the community to donate  any amount possible

What is current GPU mining speed? I try mining in early january, and got about 10-15 MH on my core i3 and got 25-75 coins per day. Does GPU mining speed and profitable significantly better?
GPU mining speed starts from 10-30 MH/s on integrated cards to about 1GH/s on cards like NVidia GTX 1080ti and AMD Vega

Is the cpu heavy load fix in the plans?
Yes, I tried some workarounds, but it didn't help. I will return to the issue later this week.

I have 50 mh/s on my r7 apu and 170 mh/s on rx 460.

0.5% pool fee, 12% reward for connected miners, 7% reward for found block, 0.5% donation to community fund

Miners! We added detailed GPU instructions, check them out! ;-) When I say deatiled, I mean detailed. Anyone should be able to get their GPU miner up and running using our instructions. https://xdagpool.com/pages/setup/windows-gpu

Also nice copycat work from https://xdag.top. Even the home page flash message "New pool software was installed. HAPPY MINING! ;-)" was written by me few days ago and was copied Cheesy Our layout, wallet balance, everything, our CPU miner texts (which we have now updated), pool news at the bottom, simply a lot of stuff Cheesy

Design / texts aside, we are still the ONLY pool where you can register your miners and get miner down e-mail notifications, detailed balance and PAYOUTS that can be exported, detailed network, pool and user stats (graphs, earnings at our pool - we prefer to be transparent), leaderboard, anonymous profiles, not to mention high rewards and very low fees, so come check us out, spread the hash rate! ;-)

How can I get my detailed PAYOUTS and hashrate? I mine on your pool a few days but see only zeroes everywhere in my stats...

Can you please private message me your e-mail or miner address? Thanks Smiley

For what is worth, when I connect through TeamViewer to my rig it gets a boost from 3200mhs to 3500mhs, I verified this multiple times, after disconnect it gets back to 3200mhs, it's weird, I have 2 gpus stopped at the moment, working with 6 1070.

Is any profilable calculator availiable? Suppose, my mining speed is 150 MH/s, how many xDAG I got per day?

Can you give instructions for Linux like Cheatoshin did?
Instructions for Linux were added to readme recenlty. Thanks to xrdavies.
So NVIDIA is not supported yet?
Miner supports NVIDIA since the start. And it seems to me most of network hashrate is produced by NVIDIA cards.

What miner do you use? GPU or standard CPU-miner? Check page https://xdagpool.com/user/miners in 10-15 minutes after you start mining. Count of unpaid shares must growth. If not - probably something is wrong.

You are right, the dev had my pool settings wrong on the website as well, I had to message him in order to fix it, looks like more pools are incorrectly stated / with mixed up parameters Sad

But it all depends on how the pool settings are defined and if you look at main page of xdag.me you see 17% as the second term which would be incorrect according to what you said.

I think there is a lot of confusion about that, for example at http://xdag.pool.ga it is written: "Notice: Config changed to 1% (fee) - 17% (Finder) - 5% (Helpers) - 1% (Community Fund) (76% shared to all miners helping or not finding the paid block)". I always thought the middle one was the finder and the third one the helpers, oh well.
I like the explanation on http://xdag.pool.ga very much. I think it sums it up very well.

Just talked about it on discord, we believe on xdag.me it's simply wrong wording, I messaged the developer, hope he changes it soon.
