The Standart Protocol - Solving Inflation
I think these trolls with newbie accounts either from a competitive project or losers. They want cheap coins. Ignore them.

when you see many trolls on the thread thats mean the project is really good and worth invest, i see it many time with dash and monero community, it is now worth something

A total of 197 accounts on the HEAT decentralized Asset Exchange are now holding XEL, see the Rich List here: https://heatnodes.org/?page_id=641

A few accounts have experienced some delays with BTC withdrawals, but overall the launch of the BTC/XEL pair on the HEAT AE has been a success so far.

Ive been waiting 3+ days for a btc w/d 🙄

Hi all. Wondering if XEL already supports deterministic transactions. More specifically: is there already a JS library for this?

If so, I'd be interested to implement a XEL module for the Internet of Coins platform.

Let me know, or send a PM. Cheers all!  Smiley

Edit: looks like it is based on NXT codebase in part. Handy, I'll dig into that first then. (Any help still appreciated of course.)

@Evil-Knievel @Coralreefer - Guys, this might be a way to get XEL and Elastic some good attention.  The Internet of Coins (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/internet-of-coins-blockchain-freedom-revolution-crowdfund-closed-1760129 ) is a very interesting project.

@agent725 - you're right, Elastic is built on a core of NXT and You're probably best creating a new topic on our forum - https://talk.elasticexplorer.org/ , since all our devs check that out and they'd be very happy to answer your questions.

Don't attack the tech behind Elastic, since you're not clever enough to do that (although that's what you ultimately fear).  Attack the people behind it, because cheap and nasty is what trolls do.  How low can you go.

Having said that, it's obvious that Elastic is having an impact, since we now have two dedicated fear-filled trolls, lol.

Time to hit the 'Ignore' button.

1. Welcome to crypto. The land that anything can happen. It's no news.
2. I am heavily invested in a coin with anon devs listed in bittrex
3. How many GNT do you hold? At this point it's obvious why you're here.

We have to move on already and let the devs finish this project. This FUD is killing everyone's mood already. We were all a happy bunch a couple of weeks ago before all these chatter bitches started chiming in. I find the devs, especially EK very trustworthy. Not once did I think this project was a scam. These devs have put in many, many hours of their personal time to give this community an unprecedented product in crypto that will actually do GOOD for the crypto community. They themselves were against the early wallet, but we voted as a community and hence we have to deal with all the fudders without a fully finished product. Honestly, I feel that a lot of the fudders are SONM & GOLEM supporters trying to steal our thunder, but who cares. When this product is finally presentable, Elastic will have the last laugh.  Cheesy

I think we should return to the value created by xel, please dont argue about those boring questions, I want to see the valuable discussion! The community allows questioning, but should raise valuable questions! At the same time we should also respect the contribution of EK! Grin Grin

There's no need to get frustrated. I understand that the devs who are only interested in the tech cannot help but find these things irritating, but you can't change how people think and behave.

What you can do is anticipate it, and really what is happening should not be a surprise at all to anyone around in crypto for a while.

Once you realise that, you can do a few simple things to improve the situation. Like for example have a FAQ with all those questions such as

ICO vs Donation
Lannister and funds
Elastic vs other projects
+ whatever new comes up

Put it on the OP, also on the website and whenever someone asks, just give them the link without extra discussion. I think unvoid has something along those lines.
How can we maximize the chance that a new visitor will see it immediately? Right now I don't think I could find it unless I knew it exists and tried to look for it.

The least helpful thing is to get emotional and take it personally and some of the questions really are not that insensible.
Long time supporters are fed up because they have been discussed over and over but it's rather unfair to lash out on people who just don't know and just visited for the first time.
It's almost impossible for a newcomer to find anything in this chaotic thread

I agree that info should be accessible for people to find easily, and that generally answers of interested parties are welcome.
BUT, we should distinguish between cases of people who genuinely want to take interest in the project and ask questions accordingly, and cases in which the person is clearly here to troll and spread FUD just to stir up and shake the devs and the community at large.
I (and many others here) have 0% tolerance for trolls and trollish behavior. People who come here to make negative noise and spread accusations and allegations should be taken out of this thread for the nuisance they are without the need for any apologetic discourse.

Thank you all the devs. I`ve send my appreciation to you on block#25891 . Please accept. Wink

Hi and thank you very much!

if your generous gift was directed to "all the devs" then it was wrong to send it to me. I cannot (and do not want to) distribute anything because I am just a coder and would never play the role of someone who manages any funds for the project or distributes those.

I have just sent those 150000 XEL back to you, but if you like what I do I would really appreciate a gift from you. The only thing is, it must be directed only to me so that I can do whatever I want with it without owing anything to anyone.

Other than that: you are a very good and generous person. Thank you for being who your are!

OK,I see. Now I`m sure this for you only. Please take it by your own. This is from Laomao and Alex_gun, for all of your fantastic work.
Shocked
HOLY SHIT!!!! You are an absolute legend mate! so generous. Well done good karma coming to you..

Are you kidding me? I wish the devs hold a significant amount of xel and I don't want to know how much because it's their money and didn't occur from any premine or whatever. Having a stake in a project gives you financial motivation other than the already existing one. Or do you think the bitcoin devs don't hold any bitcoin and develop just because of their kind hearts?  This is the healthy kind of development and the one I think elastic wants to achieve through the exposure in the markets.

If you have reservations about this great project move on to other things and free us from your presence.

This is the other thing I don't quite get with all these posts.  I've never claimed to be a good dev (maybe EK is...he could be a genius...or a High School student living in his mom's basement...who knows)...

But regardless, everything that has been proposed to date is sitting in the githubs for anyone to review...it can't get more transparent that this.  So anyone can look at what has been coded to this point and decide the following for themselves:

1) The code sucks and looks like it was written by a 6th grader....fine then go away and leave us alone
2) The code looks good but could use some improvements...great, we welcome the help, please contribute
3) The code looks great and is heading the right way...then just sit back and be patient while we finish it

A note to EK, and the rest of our great devs,

We have a great project with a great community here.
I am sure you will admit that you can find a lot of honorable people here who support it and support your work and efforts.
Do you respect/appreciate those honorable people? I think you do.
If so, please give our good community members more place in your thoughts and mindset, than you do for some of these random trolls who pop up from time to time to make noise.

Giving any of these trolls too much attention and letting them affect you means you are giving them too much importance - even more than you do to the people who actually deserve it and support you.
Please remember the majority here and disregard the isolated noise that arises here from time to time.
We are in this great boat together and we aim for greatness, lets stay on course and forget the unimportant.

Thank you Smiley

Ok thanks for the clarification, it doesn't look as bad as I thought. Although from what I've read initially the people investing in the project were not aware that their investment was a donation, and that the wording "donation" was only added at some point during the ICO. And there is still the question of what happened to these donations, which supposedly disappeared into the wild.

I am also pretty pissed off by this discussion. There was a donation phase at the beginning of the project. A donation phase means that someone has a great idea and wants support to pursue it. This does not mean that anyone offers incentives like revenue sharing or investment opportunities. It's similar to kickstarter, there is an idea, people love this idea, and people donate to make that idea reality!

So my understanding of such donations is, that there is this one point in time where the community or some John Doe says: "It’s finished. Here’s what we created. Enjoy!"

Everything else is irrelevant since it does not matter at all if any of these donations were burned, were used "wisely", were "distributed", got "locked", got spent on a "bling bling lifestyle" or if they themselves were used for academia. And not a single FUDster managed yet to give a conclusive argumentation how the code (the actual "It’s finished. Here’s what we created. Enjoy!" moment) is related to how or how not any donations were spent?

This just makes no sense! It does not matter! If you donate for someone to write some code and someone writes some code, how can you still complain?? To me it looks like a (i must admit, pretty badly planned and performed) try to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt!

I know I keep saying this, but for some reason the question keeps coming up every couple of pages on this forum.  There are NO paid devs on the Elastic project.  We (or at least I) have coded the parts I have, and will continue to work on it because I find the work interesting and feel that maybe the project could make a great contribution to the scientific community.  I have never asked anyone to be paid (nor have I seen any other dev ask).  If you want to see my stake in the project you can check the account in the OP for me.  I am grateful for those that sent the XEL to me, it was incredibly generous, but certainly not required.

But I am extremely tired of this conversation.  Hopefully someone can start a foundation that can have some paid people in it so everyone can finally stop discussing "who are the devs".  I don't wan't to be part of a paid foundation...I don't care if the paid people on the foundation do absolutely nothing...but at least you guys will have some people you can gather around like a soft little blanket to sooth all your concerns.

@Coralreefer - Trolls are disquietening to the spirit, but they're a sign of the great achievement you and EK have made.  They wouldn't be turning up if they weren't afraid of how successful Elastic can be.

Just press the 'ignore' button when you see their posts.  They're not worth your energy to even bother reading.

You know the community supports you and that's what really matters.  We're behind you 100%.
